hillowner45 Posted November 20, 2018 #1 Posted November 20, 2018 When you place your bet, do you consider the value of the bet in fiat or a pure satoshi standpoint?. If you do place your bets in terms of fiat, do you consider the current or peak price of the coin? I always bet in fiat with the current price of the coin in mind.

I bet with pure satoshi, i don't think about the value or the price. I just gambling with satoshi and not care about the value.
Paecga129 Posted November 20, 2018 #3 Posted November 20, 2018 I def do in Sats. When I first stated with crypto I was so confused but that was years ago and now that I understand more I think I’m sat terms
bmg Posted November 20, 2018 #4 Posted November 20, 2018 i bet with sats or bits in mind. some people don't even know what a bit is though lol.
ekzxc Posted November 20, 2018 #5 Posted November 20, 2018 I always bet with satoshi in mind and not the price.
Etude Posted November 20, 2018 #6 Posted November 20, 2018 Well of course betting in terms of satoshi value most if not all the time since it is a cryptogambling site afterall.
Kate Posted November 25, 2018 #7 Posted November 25, 2018 Gambling a common term known in the real world because of the wins that have been achieved by many people. Different gamblers gamble with different types of currency it could be a house or a car or a boat or even a mansion. But let's not fly there since we aren't that rich to bet that all things. Gamblers also gamble in crypto , fiat , giving a treat and many other things. In the mind of a Gambler which would he/she prefer to gamble in if there were only two options : Bitcoin and Fiat. I would personally like both. Now lets go with why i would take Bitcoin : 1) If i win around 0.02 BTC and the next day the price increase my winnings also increase automatically. 2) Easy to store and easy to earn 3) Almost accepted by every online stores ran by re sellers. Now in terms of Fiat : 1) No hassle to know how much am i loosing or betting 2) No huge fees for withdrawing to Bank 3) Almost accepted every casino and if not just convert it. These would be my reasons. If i had to pick one honestly right now i would go with Fiat due to the bad drop of Bitcoin. Tell me what would you choose ?
Etude Posted November 25, 2018 #9 Posted November 25, 2018 In terms of gambling, I would as of today much prefer it to be in the form of Bitcoin compared to Fiat. (real world currency)
Snike Posted November 26, 2018 #10 Posted November 26, 2018 Gambling = Definitely crypto!! For buying stuff in store or online = Fiat. Crypto needs to gain more stability to be used as a legit payment method for 100% of the stores.
Xantys Posted November 27, 2018 #11 Posted November 27, 2018 My personal rule is never bet with fiat. That way my living budget and savings are safe from being lost in gambling. I also believe my crypto-gambling winnings have huge future upside potential
elyxdelrey Posted November 27, 2018 #12 Posted November 27, 2018 Definitely bitcoin (or crypto) because it's easier to transact for me; since fiat usually involves using a payment provider and most of them I'm unable to use. So technically I more or less can only choose crypto to play with anyway haha. Also I find not using fiat to play a good way to not get panic attacks when you realised what you've done. 😂
chrisconn63 Posted November 27, 2018 #13 Posted November 27, 2018 id say i like bitcoin, but not when the price is low like it is now. really i personally like bitcoin online more than fiat because it seems to play differently
williamshennie9 Posted November 27, 2018 #14 Posted November 27, 2018 I prefer fiat. Your bank fees are determined by the type of bank account you have and the service provider, so it is in your control. Fiat is more stable in my opinion, crypto (more specifically bitcoin) is subject to rapid an unexplained price fluctuations, which is seldom the case for fiat. Fiat is also much more widely accepted and used around the world, especially US Dollars, whereas very stores (at least in my country) will accept bitcoin as a form of payment.
Sefan Posted November 27, 2018 #15 Posted November 27, 2018 I always sell or convert my bitcoin to fiat currency, that way im safe from the inflation of bitcoin and other cryptos.
jualid Posted November 27, 2018 #16 Posted November 27, 2018 Fiat, because it's more easier to gamble and we don't need to think the price, like bitcoin price, because bitcoin price always changed every minutes.
StoneDragon Posted November 27, 2018 #17 Posted November 27, 2018 Maybe im wrong but Fiat is everyday gambling and btc play store and sell if its time to sell and if u play with btc u collect everyday lets say 1m sats value is 10 dollars but next week 12 dollar. fiat is playtoday and cash out today.
peel1 Posted November 27, 2018 #18 Posted November 27, 2018 for me 100% bitcoin because its just easyer and wayyy simpler. Banks are hassle
polor12 Posted December 2, 2018 #19 Posted December 2, 2018 flat or pure sat.. i considered it as the same same as cash.. no matter what that currency is valued.. when i bet it might be a profit or lost..
clariaaaa Posted December 2, 2018 #20 Posted December 2, 2018 based on satoshis probably easier for me. but when comes to betting with eth and ltc can be disastrous sometimes
wry Posted December 2, 2018 #21 Posted December 2, 2018 This is more interesting than it appears. I bet in satoshi but I always convert my session totals or contest wins into national currency terms. @Bigmann23 in case other's answers were unclear, fiat is just national currencies, for example the U.S. dollar. It used to be backed by gold at 35 USD per ounce of gold until 1971 but since the Nixon Shock is just a USD. It's sort of like the doge joke, 100 doge = 100 doge, but for keeps in international circles. One of the reasons I like the idea of crypto so much.
David Posted December 3, 2018 #22 Posted December 3, 2018 .I bet relative to what my balance is, within reason - if I have a large bal I won't always bet huge.
zeriko Posted December 3, 2018 #23 Posted December 3, 2018 I also convert currency in my head so I'm always thinking about how many dollars I'm going to bet and how many I'm going to win
DancerCat Posted December 3, 2018 #24 Posted December 3, 2018 Nah, just how many coins I win. Don't care about other things. On 11/25/2018 at 5:18 PM, Bigmann23 said: what exactly is fiat? its stands for currencies from countries like dollars
xtinepink Posted December 4, 2018 #25 Posted December 4, 2018 I always play with crypto, it’s kinda disturbing to check out the value in fiat everytime you make a bet. The only thing that I will check the conversation or the value is when I already lose or win. It’s like oh how much is that and response to a wtf especially when you go busted.
