hillowner45 Posted November 21, 2018 #1 Posted November 21, 2018 I'm not sure if this question has been asked and answered before. If so, mods please remove this thread. Is the house edge of 1% in dice consistent for all payout settings, or does it increase with a lower payout ie) Does a 1.005x payout setting have a higher house edge than say a 2x payout setting.
Snike Posted November 23, 2018 #2 Posted November 23, 2018 the house edge is seen on the games tab of stake and it's always the same. No changes depending on the multiplier
Etude Posted November 27, 2018 #3 Posted November 27, 2018 I agree with Snike that it should be in accordance to the stated House Edge, so supposedly it does not change according to the chosen multiplier of choice in Dice instead.

No changes depending on the multiplier House Edge is an unchanging value, you were right. If it changes the edge when placing 1.005x, then with 9800x what percentage of it?
williamshennie9 Posted November 27, 2018 #5 Posted November 27, 2018 The house edge is fixed, but keep in mind if you are hunting a 1.005x payout, it will take many rolls to make decent money, and only one roll to wipe out you balance, so use low multipliers with caution. But again, the house edge stays fixed, regardless of the multiplier you choose.
Shaniqua Posted November 27, 2018 #6 Posted November 27, 2018 As mentioned above, the house edge is constant, as in not dynamic or changing. The maths may be confusing at first... but it is correct and always the same : )
Xantys Posted November 27, 2018 #7 Posted November 27, 2018 Well, there is a way to check it out. Pick up the payout X's like low, middle and high. Run one billion rolls under each X flat bet and compare the outcome Notify us if you find something out.
EddieFx Posted November 27, 2018 #8 Posted November 27, 2018 The house edge is always fixed, you just have to understand it and it’s easy!
Administrator Edward Posted December 5, 2018 Administrator #9 Posted December 5, 2018 The house edge is consistent but when it comes to lower payouts you will find variance is a lot lower over a higher amount of rolls. You're more likely to hit your EV rather than sway either side of it.
