Kate Posted November 23, 2018 #1 Posted November 23, 2018 There are many gamblers out there who gamble on a daily basis and they also have family members who are aware about him/her gambling. Some families are supportive and support us in doing so and they don't really care that much since it's gambling but some families are worried and they try their level best and put all efforts to make you quit gambling or to limit the hours you gamble in a day. In my Family , only my brothers know that i Gamble and they don't really care that much since it's my own money and it's not my parents or their's but sometimes when i sit in front of the computer for around 3 hours gambling they would actually step in to stop me sometimes they literally do pranks on me so that i forget about the game and have some peaceful relax time. But other than that they are all in peace and i guess my eldest brother gambles too! I am not quite sure but i guess so. Tell me if you have any Family Member that stops (you from) or wants you to quit GAMBLING.

Relatives and my friend was warn me to stop doing gamble, but it was so addicting. I would put blame on my friend that asked me to join gambling, and after he losing like 2000$, he told me to stop.

I think jealously plays a role here... The funny thing is, they will gladly pay to buy a lotto ticket, but will never dare put a few bucks onto a blackjack table. smh

Maybe they just care about you since as you said you are more wealthy than them so they just doesn't want you to loose all that money . Families would just worry for you but never be jealous of you.
KiXxnTRiXx Posted November 24, 2018 #12 Posted November 24, 2018 No one can "make" anyone stop. All you can really do is to voice out your opinion. If things do not change, then you have to make a decision on what your next actions are. Ultumatums never works, at most, it is a temporary solution.

Well yeah no one can if you are living ask independently ask by yourself but if not and if you are living in your parents basement then I guess they can do stop you ?

But we are all addicted here we tried once and now we can’t stop that’s what addiction does. My family doesn’t know that I play and gamble here but will tell them in the future.

That's why i can't tell my family members about my gambling activities.

He only compared me to our father because he knows our father used gamble a lot (TONG-ITS). He also tease me whenever I tell him I bust playing. All in all my brother is cool with it.

Which then one should observe carefully whether has things gone too far or is it still salvagable particularly possible strained relationships?
