KiXxnTRiXx Posted November 24, 2018 #1 Posted November 24, 2018 So, we got discord giveaway back up and running again. Hopefully this time, it will stay up. I've been lucky enough to win a few times, but i think everyone should have a fair chance if winning. Back then, i've witnessed some players winning it alot while some have never even won it once. Some eve wins back to back, which to me seems not fair at all. I was thinking of maybe suggesting to have a limit on daily wins or weekly to give others a chance on winning it. What do you all think?
irawk0 Posted November 24, 2018 #2 Posted November 24, 2018 Definitely support. One win/day seems quite reasonable, considering it's entirely free to enter. So reset at 00:00 GMT and reroll if someone won twice in a day. Would love to have some sort of verification process first as well, this discord's one main downside is people might try to enter with multiple alts. It would be nice to only have verified people eligible, and everyone who verifies must have their IP checked against possible alts and kept track of.
Moderator Flan Posted November 24, 2018 Moderator #3 Posted November 24, 2018 They should add mobile verification in order to prevent multiple alts joined it. If the person was always winning, I think re-roll will work like irawk0 said. Since these days, I only see 2 winner in a row at the day on this new discord with different time. Maybe it's fair enough, not until you win thrice times.
jualid Posted November 24, 2018 #4 Posted November 24, 2018 The thing is they need to eliminate all the alts, i'm pretty sure there are many alts abuse the discord giveaway. Tbh i never win on discord giveaway
Snike Posted November 24, 2018 #5 Posted November 24, 2018 The main problem of the discord giveaways is the amount of alts and multiple random accounts. It's not fun to go into a giveaway with 200 entries and like 90 of those are alts. But as I've said a lot lately, I won't be mad about the chance for free money.
Kate Posted November 24, 2018 #6 Posted November 24, 2018 First of all there are too many alt accounts and there should be some verification done by connecting the forum account. Second not everyone has the time to open the giveaway up every hour so there should be some notification or something. Third I haven't won even one lol 😛

elyxdelrey Posted November 27, 2018 #8 Posted November 27, 2018 If I remember correctly @KiXxnTRiXx you're one of those lucky ones that the RNG God favored last time! 😂 Back to topic, well limiting wins to give others a chance is a good idea but I'm thinking it'd be difficult to implement. Winners who reached the win limit can easily take part again hourly and since Stake doesn't own Discord I believe they won't be able to auto stop them from joining. Sure they can decline payment to them, but that wouldn't serve the purpose since the chance doesn't increase for other players anyway. There may be workarounds or some way to do it though, I'm no tech whiz so I can't be sure, but all in all for me it just sounds like too much work for something so trivial. I don't think the poor support team wants to go through that lol. I guess I'll stick to praying to the RNG God for now. 🙏

This question is the most important one to ask - why do they close each time? Another point is when they bring it back, do you think it's for a limited time only? Should Stake try and keep discord open for players to have fun. I think discord is a big thing for stake so in my honest opinion, if they permanently keep Discord, hopefully it would introduce stake better to more new users? A great chance to get those interested in Cryptocurrency yet alone to make a profit. yeah i was wondering myselves to how come that they are closing it after short period of time

We have since hopefully resolved this.

Yeah, unfortunately that is a problem. Luckily Stake can check for alts on the Stake website, but I'm not sure if they can do this on Discord. At least they have a good success rate of catching alts

Stake won't tip them and neither they'll roll a new winner. So its a waste of raffle tickets. They should find some way of verification or something!
kuleeeet Posted November 27, 2018 #16 Posted November 27, 2018 i cant win on discord giveaway too hehe but hope to win

Shaniqua Posted November 27, 2018 #18 Posted November 27, 2018 maybe by not having the tags by our usernames [stake] it may make it less detectable or something on discord side im not sure tbh, i hope this one stays for while!

Yeah, the usernames should not contain [Stake] in them. I think that is against Discord's rules. That's why the Stake sever kept getting shut down. I think Stake should tell users to change their names, since some users still have [Stake] in their names.
Sefan Posted November 27, 2018 #20 Posted November 27, 2018 thats xD, kinda annyoing when they have to make a new one every so often

Yeah, i saw some people told others to remove the [Stake], so i remove the [Stake] too.
