Juanibet Posted January 21 #1 Posted January 21 Hello everyone, as a football and Premier League fanatic, I'm noticing that the team isn't the machine anymore, or that the players no longer fit Pep's tactical system. What do you think? • ROI and trends: Betting on "City to win" in their last 10 league matches would have been negative due to the draws and the defeat against United. Over 2.5 goals in their matches averages ~3.0 total, but the ROI is mixed. On Asian handicaps (-1), they miss more when they don't score (negative ROI ~ -10% in recent months). • Betting conclusion: They are not "lost" or unviable, but they are no longer the infallible machine they once were. Betting on them as clear favorites offers less value (low odds and risk of draws), while betting against them (draw or underdog) can pay out during streaks like this (last 5: 1W-3D-1L). Better value is found in "both teams to score" or unders in some cases. In summary: City are not lost; they are second, with a large positive xG differential (+16-17), scoring goals when they want and defending well. But their era of absolute dominance seems to be over for now—Arsenal are ahead, and stumbles in derbies and European competitions are painful. Guardiola can turn things around, but the title race looks more open than ever.
Juanibet Posted January 21 Author #3 Posted January 21 I'd bet against City in the next 5 matches. Is Pep taking a sabbatical year or will he take charge of a national team for the World Cup? Issei0 1

Yelder Posted January 23 #7 Posted January 23 I would agree with you but this is a team that have missed out on their core defenders to injuries.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is consolidating its position and, above all, playing well.

Arora4 Posted January 24 #12 Posted January 24 Wait for the wingers to get back and rodri to find his rhythm, the only thing pep has to do is not overthinking the line-up and start cherki often 👍
