Mlc Posted December 6, 2018 #1 Posted December 6, 2018 Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone uses the google extension which mines bitcoins in the browser, it apparently mine 1 Btc per month , not sure how correct that is , anybody no more about it ?❤️
davinmark Posted December 6, 2018 #2 Posted December 6, 2018 Yeah i use it. But its really worthless if you dont have many referrals. (The ref should be an active miner) so u will get more btc than usual

If you use a laptop mining, you will earn about 400 sats per day. So it really is not worth it.

Is that even worth? Not to mention the electricity..
Etude Posted December 7, 2018 #5 Posted December 7, 2018 I sincerely think this kind of add-on can actually end up malicious more often than not. Also as others above has mentioned, the promised profitable amount is ridiculous and unreal, it is the stuffs of to good to be true.
Moderator Flan Posted December 7, 2018 Moderator #6 Posted December 7, 2018 I installed it first, but I removed it because it could shorten the lifetime of my laptop. I also don't want my laptop to be damaged because it requires a lot of electricity and GPU supply. In fact, I didn't get any profit at all, and I decided to not use it anymore.
Kate Posted December 7, 2018 #7 Posted December 7, 2018 It's not a guarantee of 1 Btc per month it depends on your gpu power and the hash rate you get from your computer to mine.
ginoso2019 Posted April 29, 2019 #8 Posted April 29, 2019 no I don't use it I think it can install viruses and consume too much computer resources
BLXN Posted April 29, 2019 #9 Posted April 29, 2019 do you mean Cryptobrowser? it was alright -- I found it to be one extra browser than I didn't need-- I received an email recently stating they had updated their algorithm, and I might give it a go. I have a computer which I leave running all the time since computers last longer if they're left to run 24/7, and I don't pay for electricity
FotisNt Posted April 29, 2019 #10 Posted April 29, 2019 I tried that once, but its no sense while miners can give way more than that.

ceastem Posted April 30, 2019 #12 Posted April 30, 2019 Miners nowadays are not profitable anymore. Even with high end specs, you think when your high end computer gets broken you won't spend more on it? Things like these can be profitable if you are only referring other stupid people to destroy their laptops slowly for you to earn a bit more cents. unlike before, you can mine profitably cause crypto was still on the rise. Now that many farms have joined into one for mining crypto, mining can never be as profitable as before. Add to that the fewer the coin available to be mined, the harder it is to solve a block. This minimizes your profitsall oer again from slim to almost zero and might even go to negative.

bmg Posted May 4, 2019 #14 Posted May 4, 2019 lol I guess I know what I wont ever be trying . Sounds like it costs more to run than it's worth and can dammit your laptop or pc.
barbaris Posted May 4, 2019 #15 Posted May 4, 2019 Kill your pc and earn nothing. You should not even try.
