Mining a term we all know because its used to do two main things : 

1. Confirm Transactions
2. A good way to earn bitcoin or the coin you are mining for. 

Mining is used by everyone and is a friendly thing since it does no harm to us is what we think ! But everything has a dark side of it and mining has one too and that is secret mining. Eventually it means that when you visit a site or an app in your phone and suddenly your cpu usage increases then it's sure that the app is secretly using your phone power for hashrate and the same applies for PC if you see your memory go up a lot then close that website and you can see that it goes down. So for these people secretly mining there are many extensions in the web store to stop the scripts from mining. 

My favorite one and the one i use is No coin it's a good extension with feature of disabling the script and if you want you can enable it if you want the site to mine from your CPU.
