JoeyBatz Posted October 16, 2017 #1 Posted October 16, 2017 Blockchain is the future. Even people who are skeptical about BTC affirm that blockchain technology has exceptional potential. If this tech is the future, how do we explain what it is to the less technically saavy? Imagine a 10 year old is endowed with 1 BTC from a relative as an education plan. How do you explain what the blockchain is and why his money will be secure and grow? Banks don't explain anything just sell, yet even a child can understand the basic concept.
Dan Posted October 16, 2017 #2 Posted October 16, 2017 This is a really good question, and I really don't know how to explain it to a 10 year old. I'm gonna keep thinking and hopefully will be able to come up with a great analogy.
wilbur Posted October 16, 2017 #3 Posted October 16, 2017 uhmm maybe tell the kid it's like an online cashier ? haha idk let me post again or edit this if I have something better explanation

wry Posted November 20, 2017 #12 Posted November 20, 2017 If the kid believes (or used to believe) in Santa Claus I go with that it is like Santa's naughty and nice list, it keeps track of what everyone has done but anyone can look at it. I've found 10 year olds are pretty clever and can understand things like stocks and bonds if explained with examples they can relate to. I also agree that they are pretty technically savvy.
barbaris Posted November 21, 2017 #13 Posted November 21, 2017 Someone understands this at an early age, but there are also those who will never understand.
Ucrypto Posted December 7, 2017 #14 Posted December 7, 2017 nowdays 10 years old children will tell you more than you know.
skillex Posted January 5, 2018 #15 Posted January 5, 2018 A really great question. Maybe schools and universities soon will add this kind of subject in their respective prospectus for the children to be not ignorant to this kind of thing.
KiXxnTRiXx Posted August 29, 2018 #16 Posted August 29, 2018 hmmmm. im not even sure how to explain to an adult.. maybe with some legos as props and distract them from the fact i have no idea what im talking about. 😄
Neo-rock Posted September 1, 2018 #17 Posted September 1, 2018 Block chain is for new generation.where they will invest their pocket money and gain money through it.they will try to double their pocket money by holding it for longer period.its also the safest as well as easiest.
bmg Posted September 17, 2018 #18 Posted September 17, 2018 try to explain blockchain in very basic terms which even a 10 old can understand. Blockchain Technology basically helps in Trade. Because of this technology, you can trade with anyone around the globe, without knowing about him personally and without any intermediate party (like banks or other companies). For eg: Let’s say you want to sell your smartphone. Currently you will use platform like ebay which acts as an intermediate between you and the person to whom you want to sell. The payments might be processed via some bank which will cost you or/and the other person some money. Now because of blockchain, you will be able to sell your smartphone to that person without really involving ebay or any other bank in between. That’s blockchain explained on very basic level. Good luck to u all
davinmark Posted September 29, 2018 #19 Posted September 29, 2018 i dont really think that we have to explain to them, bcoz i think , what they need isnt a BTC .. but a Toys and a field for playing soccer
SEMPAXs Posted September 29, 2018 #20 Posted September 29, 2018 the question is very observant, it's hard to explain it correctly. what if for education insurance? Are there insurance companies that accept payments with crypto? I do not know it
