Moderator LazarL Posted March 30 Moderator #1 Posted March 30 Yo Stake fam, I’ve been going back to Battlefield 1 lately, and honestly, it still feels like something special. The atmosphere, the sound design, the chaos of massive battles. It’s hard to find another FPS that delivers the same experience. The World War I setting alone makes it stand out. Instead of the usual modern or futuristic shooters, BF1 throws you into gritty, cinematic warfare with bolt-action rifles, trenches, and intense close quarters combat. Every match feels like a story unfolding rather than just a scoreboard grind. What really keeps me hooked is the immersion. From the music to the dynamic weather and destruction, it feels alive. Even losing can be fun when everything around you looks and sounds incredible. That said, I know some people prefer tighter, more competitive shooters like CS or faster paced games like COD. So I’m curious do you think Battlefield 1 is the best FPS ever made? Or does another game take that crown for you? Zamia2001, Ninjalips and Aerena09 2 1
Nakurinas Posted March 30 #2 Posted March 30 BF1 is amazing, no doubt — the atmosphere is on another level. But calling it the best ever? Nah. It’s more of an experience than a competitive FPS. If we’re talking skill ceiling and longevity, games like Counter-Strike are still miles ahead. Aerena09 1
Moderator StefanTl Posted March 31 Moderator #3 Posted March 31 I wouldn’t say it’s the best FPS ever, but it’s definitely up there. The atmosphere, sound design, and overall immersion in Battlefield 1 are on another level compared to most shooters. The whole WW1 setting makes it feel unique, and the large-scale battles are something not many games can match. There are other great FPS games too, so it really comes down to personal preference, but BF1 is easily one of the most memorable ones for me. Ninjalips 1
Ninjalips Posted April 1 #4 Posted April 1 Bf 1 is good! i have been a BF fan for a long time ! Bf3 still one of the best massive 64v64 mp games for me! but for just immersion and gritty cinematic in the trenches feel Hell let loose takes it for me!
ausgekaut Posted April 20 #6 Posted April 20 The OST is on par with the atmosphere and gameplay. I had some great battles on operations.
Zeus Posted April 20 #7 Posted April 20 (edited) I only played Battlefield 1942 and can say that it was the best MoH-style shooter back then. Edited April 20 by Zeus
