Code Rule Removed from #9, Still Being Enforced

Hey guys,

Ignoring the fact that the "no codes" in number 9 never meant bonus codes (rule 9 deals with malicious computer code), it was a rule that everyone understood.  

Well that rule is no longer in the posted rules, but its still being enforced.  The 2 mods I saw still enforcing it couldnt explain the removal.  (this isnt a call-out thread, theyre just doing their job, not going to name them here) but I only see 2 options:

1.  it was removed for a reason, and shouldnt enforced  since its not a rule, OR

2.  Its still a rule, but shouldnt be enforced until its put back in the posted rules in the chat window.  (expecting people to find a link to a list of secret rules isnt really a sustainable system imo)

The vast majority of the time, you guys are either correct with your actions, or close enough to correct it doesnt matter.  This time, I just saw mutes that aren't right.

Im not going to monitor this since its not meant to argue with anyone.  Cheers
