Abuse of Power Struggle

Due to the unnecessary closing of my only forum post (which became a hot topic an hour after it was posted)  I have decided not to offer any more contributions to Stake Forum after this. My post in no way interfered with the 2018 Stake Awards. It was nice for me to go on forum to see so many people responding. It's been a while since I've experienced that sort of gratification. So to find Dan locked my topic without reason I felt discouraged. I believe it was locked because of the hostility between Dan and myself stemming from our first encounter. It was obvious how Dan felt about a "noobody" (noob and nobody) like myself. I wasn't just going to let it go, but what could I do? Well this is all I got. I am not insulting Dan in anyway. I believe this post is well within the rules of Stake Forum. To block this post or ban me from forum would validate my opiniond of Dan. So the purpose of my post today is not to attack Dan, but to let us and especially me know your encounters with Dan. Good or Bad. I know he is a popular guy. A lot of people here like him as a person....But is he good for business here at Stake? If his lack of care attitude or condescending tone with me is the same with all current or potential Stakers, it most likely would be a deterrent to join.

 

Oh yeah....I doubt this post will remain for very long. But I'm being objective about it. I could just be over sensitive.

Oh yeah.....And why haven't you unbanned Stimubate yet Dan? He is good for Stake and good for forum. He had the most people join his gary group and you took that away from him. He took the time to make anybody who wanted one, their own personal Gary. I was surprised on how many he actually made, and refuse to give a 2nd chance. It's instances like this that make me question your lack of compassion.

Before this gets out of hand here and people start posting like crazy:

I wanted to lock the topic as well. The reason is simple: We have our yearly Stake Awards who spit out which one is the best mod. Since the Awards started, the topic became even more useless. No offense.

I don’t see any abuse. A reason to call for abuse would have been if the topic was deleted, which it isn’t. It just became irrelevant when the Awards popped up.

Dude, don't let some forum mod with a bad attitude have his way! You should fight for your rights, for yourself, and for all the 'noobs' - We shall follow your lead 

I had this bully at school (* Solemn violin music begins) all the way from when we were 8 yrs old through to adulthood (during the next few years after finishing school where I may have bumped into her pubbing or clubbing, etc), whom every year or so would make large overt attempts to humiliate me in front of large groups of people, saying hurtful and cruel words in the hope of undermining me (this would happen on the few occasions that we were alone too) - She was truly a revolting human being. I stopped talking to her completely and showed her no attention (well, except for maybe the odd smirk) by the time I got to the last year of primary school, yet, like some nut-job, she continued (for the next decade! Unfortunately for her this was the only thing she was actually good at). Sucking up to adults, along with acting fine with her 'friends' was her forte. So people thought she was an OK person, which was really very frustrating <<< (😣 Sorry, I may have overindulged here in my attempts to get this story across. I'm just sayin that, you know, I've some experience)

The truth is that bullies are small and sad human beings that need to step on you to make themselves feel bigger/better.

Personally, I've had no dealings as yet with the person you've mentioned, Dan, so I am in no way trying to claim he is a good or bad person/forum mod (since I couldn't possibly know this). But, I am making comment based on the descriptions of your experiences, Waldo.

If you were to ask my opinion, I would say... If possible, keep notes and screenshots of your dealings with Dan, along with any other facts, etc, that way you'll; have proof, which would help if you choose to make a complaint 🤩 You could also post them publically in the forum.

Finally, I hate the social politics within forums where some members feel it's OK to look down their nose on other users just because they have a low/lower post count 😠 it's juvenile and ridiculous.

Waldo, you have our support, so don't allow someone else to stop you from using the forum - Especially as I've just 'Followed' you too, OK? 👍😊 Yeah! 😆 😁

I don't think your topic being locked had anything to do with you personally. After reading the last comment it doesn't appear Dan was the one who even locked it and if he did it certainly wouldn't have been for any reason other than preventing confusion with people voting. Some people might vote on your thread and it doesn't count because it wasn't on the official one.

Please know that the 'basic' responsibility of moderators is keep the forum organized and free of spam.
that includes deleting / merging / closing topics which seems to be either unnecessary / spam or redundant.

your topic was good. but recently, there is an official topic posted to voice it out, so to avoid confusion, we had to close your topic and lead you guys to the official one.

Well....before the unfavorable line is drawn in the sand let me just say the post I made should not be focused around the closing of my post nor my encounters with Dan. Think of those things as a way for me to subtly set the tone and reply to my own forum topic with my experiences. Yes I was bummed the topic got closed, but that's not my focus. I want my posts to be different and relevant. I thought it was a clever way to present my topic. Topics don't always need to be light-hearted. This one will argue something that I want to know for myself. I truly want the communities opinion on this.

Faris. I am not factoring in Stim's personal character when arguing. In my opinion, I believe Stim is good for forum, and having forum is good for Stim. It was kind of a sneaky way for me to reply to my own topic as stim without it looking like that's what I did. But I do think he deserves another chance.

I understand this topic is controversial. But to me it is super relevant, and am not saying anything I believe to be insulting. It deals with a situation that I would hope doesn't happen to others.

Well tbh instead of locking the topic what @Dan or the outstation who locked the topic could've just added the official vote link. Since @Steve said that that might cause a confusion.  Please don't be offended from my saying just trying to solve the problem.

Faris. I am not factoring in Stim's personal character when arguing. In my opinion, I believe Stim is good for forum, and having forum is good for Stim. Stim has been sending his dick pic to heaps of girls all over the site who haven't appreciated it. By unblocking him, we would be encouraging his vile behaviour, and thats not a good look for us. 

I am locking this topic due to it now being offtopic and people have too much confusion regarding the situation.
