Thank you for your interest in Stake Poker!

Please open the settings menu in the top-right corner of the Poker client and uncheck “Squeeze hole cards” from the Table settings section.

Once this option is disabled, your cards will no longer be displayed as real table cards, and you won’t need to squeeze them at the start of each round to see them.

Yeah it sticks once you toggle it off, no need to do it every time.

tbh it's a bit hidden in the settings but once you uncheck it, that's it — works for every table after that

Yeah that setting is global, uncheck it once in the settings menu and it'll stick across every table you join

It threw me off the first time too, especially when I realized each table kept asking about the corner peek. I always forget that some toggles hide inside the global preferences rather than being a per table thing.

I hate when settings arent truly permanent, you untick something and the next fresh table just resets it like you never touched a thing. Drives me up the wall tbh

Go into the main game settings from the lobby, not inside a table, and look for the card squeeze or peek option there. That one usually sticks across sessions unlike the in game checkbox.

drives me crazy too, they make you toggle it per table and it just never sticks. i literally thought my settings were broken until i reaized the global option is hiding in the lobby menu not the table one

yeah its one of those thngs where the in game checkbox is basically a prank, it never saves and you just end up unchecking it out of muscle memory. finding the actual global setting in the lobby menu feels like a secret little quality of life fix they dont really advertise.
