Moderator KatarinaDo Posted April 12 Moderator #1 Posted April 12 I’m curious to hear your experiences with unusual foods. 🙃 I don’t mean strange combinations like sweet and salty, but more uncommon or unexpected types of food, especially unusual animals. 🦇 For example, my grandparents used to collect and cook snails after the rain during the summer, and they really enjoyed it - but I always found it too gross to even try. What about you? 🤔 Aerena09, buni, whiteghost69 and 3 others 1 1 1 1 1 1

Community Manager AleksandarG Posted April 12 Community Manager #13 Posted April 12 I remember when I was a kid, the slaughtering process. What stuck with me the most was the food. I tried sheep tongue wrapped in that thin, web-like fat membrane from inside the animal and then cooked. Sounds weird if you’re not used to it, but honestly it tasted really good. 😋 whiteghost69, Aerena09, KatarinaDo and 2 others 1 2 1 1
Monsalud Posted April 12 #14 Posted April 12 Snails are eaten a lot here in Spain. I quite like them, even though I wouldn't eat any other insect, but snails are tasty.
Zamia2001 Posted April 12 #15 Posted April 12 (edited) People enjoying eating this but I haven't tasted yet, they say its an exotic food but thinking and looking at it as a snake, i throw up🤮 Edited April 12 by Zamia2001 AleksandarG, Aerena09 and Rohitabhi 1 2

Also people here commonly eat goat's brain Aerena09, KatarinaDo, AleksandarG and 1 other 1 2 1

Moderator MarkoDr Posted April 13 Moderator #23 Posted April 13 Well something i ate that i found strange at first but a lot tasty later was cow tail. So many meat in that tail. KatarinaDo, NemanjaPi and Zamia2001 2 1
Monsalud Posted April 13 #24 Posted April 13 Well, thinking about it, something I ate that I really didn't like was Iberian pig tongue. It wasn't bad, but the thought of eating a tongue seemed disgusting to me. Zamia2001 and KatarinaDo 1 1
Moderator StefanTl Posted April 13 Moderator #25 Posted April 13 Interesting topic, there are definitely some weird foods out there. I’m not really someone who likes to experiment too much with food. I usually stick to what I know. One strange thing I tried was a really salty chocolate. I normally like dark chocolate, but this was just too much; the taste was so weird, I couldn’t even finish it.
