Play basic strategy

• Memorizing the right way to hit, stand, split and double down your hand is a must, says gambling expert John Marchell. You'll cut the house edge from 1 to 2 percent to 0.5 percent.
• Marchell offers this primer:

1. Stand when your hand is 12-16 when the dealer has 2-6.
2. Hit when your hand is 12-16 when the dealer has 7-Ace
3. Always split Aces and 8s
4. Double 11 versus the dealer's 2-10
5. Hit or double Aces-6

Bonus tip: Purchase a basic strategy card in the gift shop so you don't have to memorize all this.

Don't play insurance

• Unless you're counting cards don't make this dumb move, which is essentially another new bet with new money based on whether the dealer has blackjack.
• "Overall, the house has almost a 6 percent advantage over the player with an insurance bet,".  "And even if you have blackjack you will only win your original bet. If the dealer has a blackjack when you do, it's a push—no win, no lose."
• Check the dealer's up card
• Before you take any action, check the dealer's up card. Is it bad (2 through 6) or good (7 through Ace)? "What the dealer has makes all the difference on what action the player should take."
• Don't sit in the first base seat

Nice post! Some things I'd like to add to:

I personally don't split 8's if the dealer's card is a 10, or Ace, because most of the time, you will get 2 hands of 18, which usually lose to a 10 or Ace, but I know this is frowned upon by many. I just don't do it. And sadly, it is impossible to count cards on Stake since infinite decks are used, so there is no point in even trying

To all noobs reading this, definitely get a basic strategy card, even if you print one off the internet. It will come in handy when you are stuck

This is a pretty sweet basic strategy for playing BJ. Would do good to commit it to memory!

those strategy is great for live black jack.. but digital house edge percentage won't change..and buying insurance is a safety net for high bets..

my tip on 11 on deal  is that you should double your wager no matter wthat the dealer shows. i walways double on a 11

I love blackjack and yes that all points are true, always split AA is a must, it's an easy money sometimes

Experience tips : If you/dealer got cards like 10/J/Q/K (very often) , and the dealer got an Ace. I always ask for insurance. 

Any strategy tips : I very often to use double when I got 9/10/11 sum value of two opened cards, the worst probability if the dealer get above of your sum value. If you lucky enough, you can get a blackjack except when doubling at 9 (max with ace = 20).

Furthermore, you didn't specify which rules were used when giving those tips. Was it one deck? Was it more? (Stake apparently uses infinite decks)

I used wizards of odds when I started gambling years ago. I find it very logically laid out and easy to follow. A great resource for anyone starting out, or seeking new strategies.

blackjack is one of my favorite games, since you are against the dealer but it takes a lot of skill to know when to ask or not in tight moments, that of counting the cards in an infinite deck does not work and what I recommend is that you analyze the patterns and how many times you have thrown them or given them the winner.

Do you prefere to play digital blackjack or real black jack?, it feels like the odds are better with a real deck of cards

This is regarding the second point : you told to stand when we have 12 and 16 and when dealer has 2 or 6 I wanted to ask how do you come to know when the dealer has a specific card ? Or is it just an assumption ?
