nuuuitsjdragon Posted December 15, 2018 #1 Posted December 15, 2018 I have noticed many players (me included) usually go on multi-hour benders when playing - even till the extent of forsaking sleep. Personal experience dictates that the effects are mostly negative but naturally, this wisdom only comes in hindsight. In restrospect, I have not only noticed progressively declining levels of decision-making during play but also effects such as delirium (chat which doesn’t make sense) and misjudgment. Shockingly enough, the effects can even bring someone to commit strange & weird actions that they might not have otherwise done - as seen in the following news on a gambler in a brick & mortar casino, “For more than 12 hours, she was rooted to the casino's baccarat table. And even when she started bleeding, she would not budge. She was having her period, but she refused to change her sanitary pad because she was too engrossed in gambling.” When her menses started staining her clothes, the chair and the carpet, other punters told her and casino staff asked her to clean herself. When she refused, security personnel escorted her to the toilet. Granted everyone’s different experience, have you guys had the same kind of physical/mental reaction as me? It’d be interesting to find out what other players think of this - and also with that please share some prevention techniques so we all can try to make lesser mistakes in time!
BLXN Posted December 15, 2018 #2 Posted December 15, 2018 first of all ... lol. People are fucked It should be noted as well that the Sandwich is rumoured to have been invented to serve the Earl of Sandwich a healthy meal so that he could continue to gamble. Now to the point- yeah, most of my [worst] decisions [pertaining to risk assessment] has come from *cough*stimulantinduced* sleep withdrawal. There is a wealth (ha) of information on the performance-reducing effects of sleep deprivation, and I must say I agree with most of the documentation, as I've verified them through my own actions. This is why they pump oxygen into casinos...

Marrcos1337 Posted December 15, 2018 #5 Posted December 15, 2018 Yeah I can gambling about hours so it affects me not in the good way :c If I have money for gamble, I can spent hours just depositing on a different sites and playing on them. And my eyes are are hurt like a ****, but I don't care until I'll stop or lost all what I had :ccc Anyway for me it is not bad way to spend free time just gambling and listen to music 😄
ScooterPi Posted December 15, 2018 #6 Posted December 15, 2018 lol - what a story! that poor lady - addiction can be a terrible thing I have definitely had my share of staying awake much more than is reasonable or healthy....simply because I did not want to stop. Best I can recall, I did this when I was convinced I was going to recover a loss right then and there. I can't remember any time that I have stayed awake too late or too long and thought afterwards "boy - sure is a good thing i never went to sleep!" My best wins are when i'm rested and sharp.
Snike Posted December 15, 2018 #7 Posted December 15, 2018 OK. There are addictions and then there are ADDICTIONS lol. Wtf was up with her!? She couldve gotten her health into serious danger wtf. I know for myself when I gamble for too long my vision starts to get shaky and all blurry. Thats the point when I take breaks or stop!
Etude Posted December 16, 2018 #8 Posted December 16, 2018 Lol this is definitely an eye opening story that is mixed with shock and slight disgust as to the depths of addiction to gambling that lady has.
Mackyrivera Posted December 16, 2018 #9 Posted December 16, 2018 The only time i spent long hours in gambling is online, not really a fun of staying long on real life casino... i am more of a "hit and run" type.. lmao! but i have encountered a lot both in real life and online.. in real life i have seen 3 days straight with a lot of plates by her side..lol, online i think only etude will pass this category... peace etude! lmao!😂

That is really sad and gross lol. As a women she should be ashamed and embarrased. I think the worst I have gotten is when I'm in the middle of a good game I will start to get hungry and I won't eat until I get low glucose and my energy is dropping so much it makes me tired so at that point I have to stop gambling and eat lol.
zeriko Posted December 16, 2018 #11 Posted December 16, 2018 Yeah prolonged induces a sort of hypnotic State of Mind I almost feel like I am disassociated from my body it's very surreal honestly in that state I have zero emotions whether I win or lose it does not matter to me I am a zombified robot pressing the bet button untill my fingers give up or unroll I have nothing more to bet, very scary stuff
williamshennie9 Posted December 16, 2018 #12 Posted December 16, 2018 I've never experienced or witnessed it personally, but I've heard some people are so addicted that they use adult diapers when gambling just so that they don't have to leave the table or slot machine.
Shaniqua Posted December 16, 2018 #13 Posted December 16, 2018 getting to be less mentaly sharp in the end of the long hours. and most of all wrist and back strain from lcicking and sitting
Lillyflow Posted December 17, 2018 #14 Posted December 17, 2018 I used to work in a casino and we had regular incidents of players who would sit in the same seat for 10, 20 hours- one woman wore huge diapers and she would shit. and not do anything about it. That was the worst one. It was actually awful and eventually security had to physically escort her to the employe nurse station to give her the ultimatum that she either had to clean it up or be banned. She cleaned up and went right back to the same machine.

0hora Posted December 18, 2018 #23 Posted December 18, 2018 If you gamble for a long time you might get addicted and your eyes might get start getting a blurried vision if you're doing it for long times at a time

Shaniqua Posted December 21, 2018 #25 Posted December 21, 2018 yeah i mean it all depends in reality what is considered to be long hours of gambling... im sure general fatiuge is one of them... and can of course range all the way to death... you guys remember the guy in chiina that died at a net cafe, he was awake for idk how many days and in the end just died. So it all depends on what you consider as long hours.... i think at least... stay healthy my friends..
