A Bitcoin and technology researcher, Boris Hristov had a lot to say about the current market conditions. According to him, the only way BTC is going to regain its garner legitimacy and composure is if institutional investors enter the market. However, because most of these investors aren’t willing to take the financial risks attached to trading cryptocurrencies, they do not want to get involved in the market. In his words:

“Some potential institutional candidates are Marco funds CTAs, multi-strategy funds and alternative strategies have about $600 billion AuM. Commodity assets alone that are held by hedge funds were $300 billion as at 2017. It makes up for 10% of the AuM. BTC may fall into this bucket. Macro funds are potential institutional candidates. However, the current circumstances are bleak.”

Making reference to custody investments like that of Fidelity and Goldman Sachs, he said that the playing field will soon be ripe for institutional investors. These services will help them to invest in a less volatile market through over the counter trading.

Well we can't really predict the price if you see the price it rose from 3200$ surprisingly to 3590$ which is like what the hell how did it happen ? So we can't predict that bitcoin will die and saying it will be worthless and zero value.

Bitcoin cost will not rise much in 2019, it will probably end up in a more or less fixed price for a long time, the fluctuations will be insignificant, and it will surely not cost zero

If anything the time to watch is May/June 2020 where the reward rate is expected to change
As for the changes if we zoom out a bit its never been super stable but even from day 1 its been worth something

I also think so. There will come a point where supply = demand and the price will be more stable :)

It's all about market cycles, we will go up, market will be euphoric. We will go down, market will be depressed. Focus only on risk management and you will be able to make profit even in this market because  when you focus on risk management and ignore naysayers I guarantee you will be able to make profit.

Exactly  what I what I was thinking.   It will take many many years if ever it should happen but I don't ever see that happening in our life time anyway.

For any of you that believe this I will send you $10 for every bitcoin you want to get rid of. That’s $10 you won’t have when this all happens.

I doubt it will go do zero, but if enough people sell it and the supply far outweighs the demand, then we could see prices of $100, or $5, depending on the supply and demand.

Hello, well i doubt that as long internet web goes bigger and bigger bitcoin will do aswel. So there is some crisis in the Bitcoin world which will might be gone, at least i hope so. Bitcoin was the most used coin for transactions, but now other coins takes part. So its price might be higher on 2019 but not that much as it was. To sum up bitcoin will never die or worth less than 2000$.

If 2017 was the year of irrational exuberance, 2018 became the year of reality checks and 2019 will see the return of bitcoin dominance
