wry Posted December 28, 2018 #1 Posted December 28, 2018 After yesterday's depressing news about bad guys hijacking the Electrum client to phish users time for something a little more light hearted! The Litecoin Foundation has made a deal to become a sponsor for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) upcoming match tomorrow (Dec. 29) in California, USA. This gives me flashbacks to the glory days of Doge when they sponsored Josh Wise in a NASCAR race. Of course, that didn't really help the coin that much, but it was a lot of fun and Doge is still hanging around, so maybe this will help. I don't know that much about UFC, but I do know it is very popular with young people in the USA and given their interest in cryptocurrencies I hope this will reach them and reinforce their interest or inspire it! jamesbond Posted December 28, 2018 #2 Posted December 28, 2018 That's really a very good news, sponsoring events like this can make cryptocurrency to feature on TV and media more and it will really make people more aware about the crypto.
williamshennie9 Posted December 31, 2018 #3 Posted December 31, 2018 That's actually pretty cool that a crypto foundation has sponsored a relatively large event. A positive thing for the crypto community indeed!
Kate Posted January 1, 2019 #4 Posted January 1, 2019 It was between which ufc champions ? Also this is a great step to proceed and help the crypto community grow. Indeed a great thing done by them.
bmg Posted January 1, 2019 #5 Posted January 1, 2019 I think its a great way to being popularity to litecoin. Many people know about bitcoin but not to many know about other crypto currencies so this is a nice way to bring it to non crypto users.
Etude Posted January 5, 2019 #6 Posted January 5, 2019 Wow Litecoin foundation will be sponsoring such mainstream sporting events, eh? That would surely bring so much more spotlight on cryptocurrency upon the masses!
