The cursed 88x

Hello stakers, so ive been trying to hit 88x multiplier on medium risk multipler at 15 pins. I have done exactly 10000 rolls so far and still havent hit it once. Is it my fault or something, is it about the odds, is that normal at all? Guess its now personal between me and plinko. :Ρ Have you ever done so many rolls for a low multiplier like this?

Max payout on plinko on a single pin is really hard to hit, no matter on high or medium risk it's looks same. But there is more "cash back" on medium risk when the ball drop to the middle.

The chance to hit it is 1 in 16000.

So 10000 rolls without hitting is actually very normal.

Thats possible,  because medium risk,  its look like you hunting for 620x on high pin

I have to say I MASSIVELY underestimated how difficult this would be!  I figured maybe 1,000 drops of the puck at worst, but it took me about 5,000.  So I believe your 10,000 number.  However, it's like anything else, it will come.  If you want to find out the actual odds, you can google Pascal Triangle which is what Plinko is.  I know there's a thread about hitting x1000 in this section as well.

EDIT:  Kudos to Mav for the 1 in 16000 data, that makes me feel even more better!

Anyway, kudos to Stake for a challenge that was WAY harder than it looked!  That's one of the things that makes them fun!

I have been putting this one off for the challenge, mostly because of how long it will take to get with the odds. I am sure it will come for you if you keep going for it just stick to a low bet so it doesn't eat your balance for a challenge.

yer  88x seems like i can hit 1000x easier oh well its all fun and games .. but it wil hit and more than likely 2 times in a row

Well,u are not the first one who got that much of reds by hunting 88x. As I know,our moderator Zoltan had 35000 reds b4 he got 88x. So my advice just be patient ...

I've also had 35k+ rolls before one 88x. It's definitely difficult but that means more payout for the less amount of completions  

P.S. I suggest using live stats, refreshing every 10-20min and watch for the sudden spike in profit (8.7k jump if betting with 100 satoshi) then stopping bets and looking back. Never watch the balls drop one by one, too big of a time waste.

I took about 15,000 rolls before I hit the 88x, so keep going, you should hit it very soon

So... what are you doing in the meantime? When I leave the tab, the balls stop falling right away. Like on hold. When I return they all get dropped at once

Open a new window not a tab, or a new browser. It won't stop the plinko balls on hold.

Oh dude that is a lot of rolls just for an 88x! Are you doing it for the challenge?

I once went 16,000 rolls on 16 pins, high risk. This was during the last challenge in the Advent Calendar 2018. We had to hit a 130x or high. For a good 16k rolls, not a single 130x but then came a 1000x and I recovered. If it wasn't for the challenge, it wouldn't be worth it, because I would only just recover after 1000x hit. But because I completed the 25th challenge I got a bonus too, so it was worth it haha

It 100% isn't you fault. I mean it all depends on the seed. People are lucky enough to hit a 1000x in their first 100 rolls. My first ever 1000x was within my first ever 30 bets on plinko, sadly they were free bets (0 sats) lol. Try changing seeds, but it will still take you quite a few rolls.

Never actually. The one mentioned above (16k rolls) was the highest I have ever waited for a win. I usually play low multipliers lol.

Ya it seemed like hitting 88x wasnt going to happened so i stopped. Therea a point where youll have to accept that fact because youll end up busting or investing more to hittibg it than the actual reward you would receieve even if u did hit it. It sucks but gotta always keep that fact in mind when doing any challenges. If not ull end uo losing more than what youll gain like i mentioned. which in the end. is not worth it.

So, even after 30.000 bets, I didnt hit it even while the chance to hit it is 1 in 16000. Guess i was just unlucky this time.
