Real world betting... do you impromptu?

I was just wondering if you gamble in real life on the fly or impromptu kinda stuff...

the most random kind thing was playing heads or tails with a coin for 5 or 10 bucks a flip. It was crazy cause people around started doing it too with each-oher (at a computer cafe)...  random... right?

but im more curious if you naturally make bets with a friend or strangers when you have a chance or want to take a risk...

I think the impromptu type of betting is in reality more controlled and can be "manipulated in a sense, like if someone knows a trick (a bar trick for example) with matches, a coin, or cups  and water... saying i bet you cant do x without doing y or only doing y 2 times to accomplish x...
that kind of thing usually involves a "trick" to complete which is still (legal or not breaking the parameters of the rules set), which usually is a sure win or probably win for the bet initiator... which is interesting to think about..

or if the bet involves some sort of skill or muscle memory that can too be used to ones advantage.

do any of you ever gamble in this way? in the waking world, where you use skill or circumstance of setting to your advantage.
Sure sounds like a good way to make bets more in one's favor...

This is very rare, and I've never seen it myself happen between strangers. I've seen family members bet over weather, or a sports game, but never people betting over a coin flip. Many people just to to poker rooms if they want to gamble on the go with strangers, or just head down to the local casino.

Once in a while, I buy a scratch ticket when I am at the store.  But I never intend to buy one.

I will usually be standing in line and get a mental 'nudge' to buy a certain one.  This is what I like to call "lo key intuition" :)

As long as I limit myself to only buying those tickets under that circumstance, I seem to always go home with a winner! Usually only 5-20 dollars, though there have been a couple times I've won a few hundred. Definitely 'on the fly' gambling, as you cant decide when you want to purchase a ticket this way.

If the game can be seriously manipulated by skills of a person the would that not end up being more of a con trick then? :D

Anyways in light of your question, I believe that there are many times during gathering with friends there has been impromptu card games sessions occuring before for me, not so much or at all for games such coin flips though. ;)

You mean like counting cards at the blackjack table and having a buddy sit on the same table to help better the odds? Hahahaha.. That would be cool, or perhaps watched rain man way too many times.l hahaha jk.. but there are people that does that.. maybe not in a big scale, but like a weekend gathering at parks husslin people plating cards to buy a dime bag and  colt 45.. hell ya... i mean no.l hahaha.. nevah.
