I could be wrong, and I probably am, but I dont think it is in a sites best interest to display their balance amount in usd or any currency.

When people can see how much actual money they have, as opposed to not seeing anything but a btc figure, they sometimes think of what they could buy or bills they could pay, knowing what the real value of what they have at any given time, which makes it easier to stop and wd.

Good idea, but it wont happen.

This was suggested last year and Dan liked it and forwarded to higher-ups. Not sure where it went after :o

I fully support this as well actually.

Probably won't happen.. it's the same reason casinos give u chips to play with.. it feels like a game. When real money is involved it make a u second guess more often and u might choose to not play and this will lose the house money .

i actually have thought of this many many times before and i love the idea. would be so helpful!

You mean it would help you see the actual amount you're about to bust.. xD

Some people view bitcoin as a main currency, so the US dollar amount is irrelevant to them. To me, the $ amount is useless, I convert BTC to my home currency. It is up to you to convert on google, or using the !cv function on the chat bot.

How about having a balance of total usd or maybe even for each coin on our account? I would really love to avoid calculating every coin separately whenever I want to see my balance on usd. I know u can calculate it easily on chat but still, I think it would be very nice to see it somewhere on stake. What do you all think?

i think it would be a great feature to also show the usd value for your crypto next to your bet and your balance.

i love this feature on the other sites i llay on.

USD value of cryptos changes constantly.

I think its a great view just like what you mentioned, but on a developer's perspective, I think it is not really necessary, as we have bots that accepts conversion to USD command and vice versa. ;)

I think it should be displayed with the value of usd  next to your current btc balance.   Anyway,  i think it's a great idea.

Hey, I've thought of it so many times as well! It would be a really useful feature. Also I would like to add that it would be a even better if we could see our balances or bets displayed on any currency which everyone likes and prefers.

for the individuals / players on the site - not stake's bankroll xD although i have seen other sites boasting their bankroll- which is always of some curiousity to the player, I am sure. ;)

Before you play you should read that stake is a crypto gambling site not a usd gambling site if you want you can search google for sites where the balance and everything is shown in usd when you gamble and you gamble usd

If people saw how much they were gambling in USD, they would not be as inclined to place bets. For example, I made 2 bets of 0.4 ETH. If I saw the USD amount for that, I would have never placed those bets.

You actually got a point on that! There was times I didn't cashout on 0.01 or 0.02 btc while I was kinda greedy and I forgot to check those amounts on EUR. Also many dumb bers were made due to this aswel. Guess that reason is in the top of people's mistakes.

It is the same reason that casinos use chips and not cash. If people put down $1000 in notes, they would think twice before betting. When they use chips, they just tend to forget how much they are actually gambling.

I totally get your POV that if this feature was implemented, would not prove to be in a site’s best interests.

Pondering why Stake’s competitors have decided to implement such a feature got me thinking a bit further on the possible positives of this -

Not sure if I’m on the right path but these establishments (especially if new & establishing player base) may value a player’s trust and confidence more than let’s say, extorting the players through their own non-realisation, leading to a short business relationship and an even faster fold lol.

Not sure of the other positives though... 🤯

I find it just odd that US players are not allowed to play here but every one still wants to know what thier coin is worth in USD.  What does it matter what a coins worth is in a currancy of a country that is not allowed on the site.
