LeSanta Posted July 7 #1 Posted July 7 What do you think is a normal stack size for this game 38BB? Or should I try to build up a bigger one?
ashssa53 Posted July 9 #4 Posted July 9 38BB is solid but I'd try to get it up to like 50-60 if you can, gives you way more room to play postflop without panicking fr.
vaelvi1 Posted July 9 #5 Posted July 9 Yeah 38 is workable but 50-60 gives you way more breathing room postflop, you won't be sweating every hand ngl.
LeSanta Posted July 9 Author #6 Posted July 9 Yeah, I agree with that. I played in the very first qualifier, where they gave out 5 bb—it was hard to hang in there.🙄
Doseys Posted July 9 #7 Posted July 9 38BB is fine to hang in there but you'll feel way more comfortable if you can chip up to 50-60, less pressure on every decision
LeSanta Posted July 9 Author #8 Posted July 9 Thank you for your reply Did anyone make it to the final day? What is your stack size? If so, tell me how difficult it was for you.
strikeax Posted July 9 #9 Posted July 9 38BB isn't terrible but if you can chip up a bit without forcing it, do it. short stack poker is a grind and one bad beat can end you, so I'd rather have some cushion going into the final day.
Sandon95 Posted July 9 #10 Posted July 9 38BB is workable but tbh you'll be on edge the whole time, try to find a spot to chip up to 50-60 without punting.
emberesse487 Posted July 9 #12 Posted July 9 Tbh I think the comments sound similar 'cause 38BB is just that awkward middle zone—it's playable but not comfy, so everyone gives the same advice.
kovalyn Posted July 9 #13 Posted July 9 Yeah 38BB is that weird stack where you're not desperate but one flip gone wrong and you're suddenly in shove-fold mode, definitely try to find a spot to chip up if it comes naturally.
LeSanta Posted July 9 Author #14 Posted July 9 Але якщо подивитися на таблицю, середній стек насправді буде десь близько 40–50.
kim4671x8kg Posted July 10 #15 Posted July 10 38BB is decent but if you can bump it up to 50+, you'll have more flexibility in your plays, no cap ?
voxienne Posted July 10 #17 Posted July 10 depends on the blind level, 38 migt be tighter than it looks
blackoutter Posted July 10 #20 Posted July 10 38bb is fine tbh but if teh spots are there i'd def wanna get closer to 50, way less stress postflop fr ?
ryorscnxr4w Posted July 11 #21 Posted July 11 38bb is decent tbh but if spots are there i'd def try spin it to 50+ for more room bro ?
Vorlyn Posted July 11 #22 Posted July 11 I would not be happy settling at 38BB on a final day honestly, you just get pushed around way too much when the blinds ramp up. I would much rather take a few calculated shots early to get up to 50 or 60BB where you actually have some fold equity and can breathe a bit.
thoxique585 Posted July 11 #23 Posted July 11 38bb is livable but if you catch a few rounds of trash cards it suddenly looks like 22bb and you cant move anyone. i wouldnt force anything but if a good spot opens up early i'd try to bump it closer to 45 50 so you dont just get blinded into desperation mode later.
Emberast Posted July 11 #24 Posted July 11 I once bubbled a Sunday final day sitting on 41BB because I folded too many playable hands waiting for aces.
LeSanta Posted July 11 Author #25 Posted July 11 Unfortunately, aces don't guarantee a win—they're just a strong hand preflop. You have to assess the situation and wait for the big blinds so you don't waste your chips.
