AquaPanda Posted January 23, 2019 #1 Posted January 23, 2019 I will not go into a lot of detail as you can read my post at bitcointalk. But i am shocked over this issue just made aware to me by way of it actually happening. Trust in stake is a two way street. How can i trust my balance is being reported accurately or even all bets are as i dont verify mine up until now; Please refer to the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2072589.1400
KiXxnTRiXx Posted January 23, 2019 #2 Posted January 23, 2019 Good question mr Panda.. i dont verify mine either.. i havent read the link you posted yet, which i will. Just wanted to say that you raised a good point. Not alot pf players actually verify their bets, most just shrug off the losses and happy with the wins. Im one of the guilty ones that never checks anything.. im too lazy to be honest lol.. but i know i should, or i dont really have the rights to complain when im losing alot if i dont even check.. thanks mr panda.. gooday'
Cheetos1337 Posted January 24, 2019 #3 Posted January 24, 2019 Why would you bother verifying if it's provably fair, check them 5 times a day for a week, find out it's legit, then stop verifying your bets xd
wry Posted January 24, 2019 #4 Posted January 24, 2019 As a service for those of you who want to say on Stake forums here is the bitcointalk post: Quote So this is my issue with stake which is very unsettling to me and hopefully others will see it the same way. I was playing plinko their and my balance was steadily dropping. Not the issue i have busted many deposits on plinko. My issue is as my balance was dropping it was showing 200k sats which i believed and played accordingly to. as i placed another bet it said insufficient funds. Im looking at my screen and its saying 200k i hit bet again and got the same message. so i refreshed the page and my balance now is 4k sats. A huge difference in what was shown. I went to support not with the thought of giving me my coin back but of what happened and why. I was met with an answer of you placed the bets and lost your funds betting. And the "The balance update has been reported to our developers and it is only a visual lag, it should be fixed with one of the following updates. " So thats it. I responded by asking if im supposed to have a calculator and add or subtract wins or losses. And how i rely on stake to accuratly display my balance as betting patterns, amounts and games played are chosen but balance. So then someone else took over and said " I have reviewed your account and afraid that you lost the funds in betting. Please check your bet history https://stake.com/account/statistics/plinko there's a lot of bets with 0.2 multiplier where the funds are deducted." I never denied placing them nor will I. But again i was met with"From your explanation I can only assume that your balance wasn't fully updated at your front end, but after seeing the lost bets you can clearly see where the funds are gone." And as to the calculating my own bets and not relying on the balance displayed. " "Our games are provably fair and you are free to post anything where you like and share your feedback. Kindly check your bets, you do not have to calculate each bet amount, just see the multiplier of the bet which will give you better result regarding the matter." I went to a chat where i feel more welcome and made mention of it and within 5 seconds i had two pm's saying same thing happened to them. And they did not do anything about it but say you wagered the coin. Like i said im not worried about the funds i have deposited a lot of coin there and elsewhere. My issue is with your knowledge and admitting to the bug. Yet not making anyone aware or immediately fixing it. You just let is continue. Does anyone feel i should have verified and subtracted or added each bet to maintain an accurate balance? Your handling of this raises serious trust and other issues that i feel are showing lack of responsibility to your users by maintaining a fair site. Your games my validate and be provably fair bur is your casino? I would ask that this issue be addressed for i am sure there is other parties similar to mine that felt they were cheated. If this bug is a known issue I hope it is fixed quickly, my balance has always updated as I play, but I would be concerned if it didn't.

As well as the lack of transparency stake and support are doing with information know to them. I mean if there was some notification or something making users aware before hand. Not just one minuted having your balance at 200k (down from 1.4 million) to 0 and support pretty much say well not our problem. And i will add i have talked to several people now that have had that same issue. you know it baffles me that no one besides a few care about this. First i didnt post in the bugs & issues section because i knew it would not get its views here. And my issue is not with the bug its with the fact stake has known about it for months. I have talked to several people now all having similar issues. Why some cared and some didn't is not for me to decide. I will say that this has effects on all of you. For stake to idly stand by and let this go on has severely changed my view on them. The fact that for months who knows how many have experienced player balance discrepancies and not informed in some way or made active steps at correcting the issue brings into question the trust that i and you should have. This isnt an issue of provably fair. Its an issue of a responsible and trustworthy casino. To have my balance deplete steadily but not fast and the whole time looking up at it to see where im at was 200k off of its real balance is unethical if they knew about it and did not make active steps to correct in a timely manner. And might i add i dont thing its a lag issue as after i tired to bet and got the insufficient funds warning. I could be wrong but what i do know is stake has known about it, makes not effort to warn players and when a player says something we get a sorry about your luck attitude.. I just want you as players to ask yourself why id it not an issue to you. Im sure that like me that most of you deposit your coin here. and we just take their word that everything supposed to be fair and the casino trustworthy.
Kate Posted January 24, 2019 #6 Posted January 24, 2019 Well you could actually use the verifier for bets. But indeed why would there be a need of verifier if all bets are safe ? But also they do a lot of giveaways and all so I dont think that they would rig the bets.
