Threcnom Posted February 20, 2019 #1 Posted February 20, 2019 We've heard and even experienced these kind of Crypto Cloud Mining companies who will eventually turned out to be a ponzi scheme. And yet we never learned our lessons due to eagerness to earn more and for some probably greed. This alleged Thai company whose been reported to the authorities in Thailand swindled out of 42 million Baht—about $1.34 million from its investors and received forty complaints are part of a suspected group of 140 people. I myself have been victimized by such schemes and I learned alot since being involved in the Crypto World last year. Hope this will serve as a wakeup call for those who are still learning and always be on alert specially if its too good to be true! Precious Posted February 20, 2019 #2 Posted February 20, 2019 Thanks to the report Kuya Threcnom . Now i know still now, many of the mining sites have that kind of attitude. Scamming
Kate Posted February 20, 2019 #3 Posted February 20, 2019 First of all seeing that value of currency exchange rate is just sad. Second of all , never trust cloud mining sites withouth legal proof and registration for eg : genesis has established a warehouse in my country so I trust them. Third of all , hooe they retrieve the stollen money.
skillex Posted February 20, 2019 #4 Posted February 20, 2019 Sad to hear and I feel sorry for the victims fall for it.This type of ponzi's really making a bad image to cryptocurrencies itself.Just like in our country here in PH, there are a lot of news regarding Bitcoin investments using the name of bitcoin itself soliciting funds from people promising good returns and then after a few months they closed and turned scam. Then the media reported on news blaming the Bitcoin itself and warned everyone to don't invest on bitcoin anymore where infact bitcoin is just a digital currency and was just being used as a subject. The ignorants who doesnt know a thing about crypto are just believing and now they trait the word "bitcoin" as a scam.
wry Posted February 20, 2019 #5 Posted February 20, 2019 While its possible there are legit cloud mining companies, there is no way to know that any cloud mining company is not a scam. This is just one of the unfortunate aspects of crypto, that people want to get involved, it's technically and/or financially difficult for them, so pooling resources into a "cloud miner" seems like a solution. Sadly, it's also the perfect cover for a scam. Damn shame. I hope these bad guys get busted!
williamshennie9 Posted February 21, 2019 #6 Posted February 21, 2019 In my local town, bitcoin "representatives" came from an international cloud mining company to try and get people to buy into their scheme. I still to this day don't know if it is a scam, but I decided not to do it because there were just too many grey areas.
