skillex Posted February 22, 2019 #1 Posted February 22, 2019 Do you agree if Digital Currency topic will be included in our department of education curriculums? In my opinion I agree. This is so important inorder that there will be no more ignorant or newbies in crypto that are prone to being scammed and to lessen it somehow. Here in PH, there are a lot of news regarding Bitcoin investment scam. Mostly they are ponzi schemes and pyramid. Theres a lot of filipino big founders of this scam being arrested here already. Whats worst is the victims who are crying asking for capital refund at least. In addition to that incident, those ignorants here in the Philippines after watching that news dont have any conclusion in their minds but "Bitcoin is scam, get away from it'' which we who knows much than them cannot encourage them anymore to invest to crypto since their mind is now closed after seeing that news. And that is really sad, Im sure it will affect the crypto adoption if theres nothing to be done about it. Let me know if you agree?
Kate Posted February 27, 2019 #2 Posted February 27, 2019 Well yeah if there are a lot of scams and people fall into it then the word will spread attacking crypto which would lead to less adoption.

KiXxnTRiXx Posted February 27, 2019 #4 Posted February 27, 2019 Ummm.. i personally do not believe its a priority to be honest.. our educational system already lacks much more important studies that would help an individual be able to be self suficient.. learning crypto is not a neccessity and would just teach kids more things revolving around money rather than teaching them how to grow a plant, build and create just to name a few more important classes that should be avaible to them at younger age when kids are more receptive and learn quicker.. instead, only a few do offer these type of learning or would have to wait and pay to learn them out of highschool.. if kids want to learn about crypto after graduating, sure.. but it should not be part of the educational system as a course that you must learn.. especially in PH.. i was born there, even though i do not live there anymore, i know from last year's visit there, that not everybody can afford school even to this day.. and for those that can or are being helped go through school by either a family member or paying for it themselves, learning about crypto is definitely not a top priority.. there is no value in learning it while struggling paying for school as is to get ahead and hope for a btighter future, when you can read and learn about it on your own time for free.. unless youre talking about free courses that are optional, then ya.. it would be a nice thing for anyone to be able to learn.. otherwise, ya no..

Wow, how nice you are from here in PH too. you're really right. I forgot to add your suggestion on my topic. Its applicable only instead to college courses for our students to not be pressured.
jamesvan Posted March 1, 2019 #6 Posted March 1, 2019 yes, because there are people that is a victim of any type of scam especially the scammers are using the name crypto currency. The people will invest because of the said profit that they can gained because they re educated about how the cryptocurrency or digital currency works. What do you mean Department of Education (DepEd), maybe you are saying under the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) because they are the one who regulates and/or supervises Higher Education institutions, and State Universities and Colleges. Do you mean to put this subjects to elementary and highschool students or college ones because there is difference between depEd and Ched

I was actually confused where do you want to put these subjects in. I guess for CHED then. Yeah It would be nice to put as subjects but there are already popular universities who are starting that for blockchain courses.

No problem Its sad to say also that there are many who joined this ponzi eventhough knowing already the background of this system keep on deceiving people just for the sake of their referral and profiting.
bmg Posted March 24, 2019 #14 Posted March 24, 2019 In my opinion I do feel that there should be some sort of way to bring into education. If it keeps growing the way it has then of course because its a form of currency . If for some reason it should down downhill and die out soon then it still should be talked about in schooling because its a part of our worlds history. It has connect so many people and so many countries together in its short time so yes i feel it should be something that is educated on.
