KiXxnTRiXx Posted March 8, 2019 #1 Posted March 8, 2019 Hello stakers, Today's question is, what are you willing to sacrifice from your starting hand for the opportunity in drawing cards you need to hit a Royal Flush?.. For example, let's say your starting hand consist of Ace of Diamond, Ace of Heart, King of Diamonds, King of Spades and either Queen, Jack or 10 of Diamonds (only of the 3 choices).. So your hand would be A, A, K, K, and Q, J or 10.. So you got 3 cards in hand that is needed to form a Royal Flush.. But you already have two pairs and a chance for a full house if you keep both pairs.. So now the decision.. Will you break the hand you currently have, which is a for sure win and have a chance in hitting a full house, or will you sacrifice the hand and hold A, K and Q or J or 10 of Diamonds while dumping the Ace of Heart and King of Spades for a chance of hitting a Royal Flush and collect on the biggest payout for the game?.. Will you risk it everytime for that opportunity or wait for a different hand?.. And if you decided to not to risk it, then find out you would have hit it if you did, how would that affect your mind set?.. Since the opportunity of hitting a Royal Flush does not come along too often.. Looking forward to your answers on what aeach of you would decide to do when faced with this situation.. Thanks in advance and goodluck with your hunts! Cheers!
Shaniqua Posted March 9, 2019 #2 Posted March 9, 2019 omg i just realized i think that we kind of made the same topic but its not exactly the same.. either way i just realized that they are very similar hah! you situation seems like it involved a 2 pair in the beginning though. _____________________________ depending on the wager amount vs my bankroll remaining, i would probably hold the twopair
nuuuitsjdragon Posted March 9, 2019 #3 Posted March 9, 2019 Two pair as well! Makes more sense to hold that as I will get a certain 2x win and with potential full house draw. Video Poker is real fun. 🤣
Kate Posted March 9, 2019 #4 Posted March 9, 2019 Its really hard to choose within the cards given at that moment because we can't expect what the outcome would be but i would keep cards that have letters in them
mifanalo Posted March 9, 2019 #5 Posted March 9, 2019 2 pair all day. Check out the strategies at wizardofodds

williamshennie9 Posted March 12, 2019 #7 Posted March 12, 2019 I would hold the cards which is a guaranteed payout. Say for example you have 2 kings. Then I hold the 2 kings. I mean, even if I could get a flush, at least the 2 Kings are guaranteed 1x. And who knows you may even get a third or fourth king too
KiXxnTRiXx Posted March 18, 2019 Author #8 Posted March 18, 2019 Yeah, its a tough choice for sure... most people will choose to hold the two pairs, i personally would try for the royal flush.. the double pair is a guaranteed win, but not a guaranteed full house.. the pay for double pair really isnt that high, so i would risk it for a maximum payout..
echang426 Posted March 19, 2019 #9 Posted March 19, 2019 definitely depends on my bet amount and remaining balance. If I was two cards away from a royal flush and I was betting under 1/20th of my bankroll then I'd throw caution to the wind and give it a go.
artizykristy Posted March 19, 2019 #10 Posted March 19, 2019 if i have same card i will hold to 2 pair and hope got full house
