i was in a personal dilemma and wasn't sure what to keep. the two kings or the king jack queen which were all suited.

play it safe and get at least my money back and maybe more? or try and go for a the big money ? hehe balance wa low... i should have played safe i guess... but you wont eve rwin big unless you make the risk right?

so i ended up losing of course. but what would you do im just wondering?75437757_AdobeDigitalEditions4.5.lnkaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.thumb.png.41c0ff1bf7d2c1e35fd89c6b4a81af60.png

if you wants to just get the amount u made bet back, just hold K, K, but if you wants to risk I would suggest holding 10, J, Q, K as there are possiblity of having either 1 or 9 for straight.

erm... yes  i know the possibilities, i was asking what would you do lol.. but thanks for the response.

i guess i  should be more concise in my topic next time in what the thread's intentions are lawlers

usually i hold any pairs that are Jacks of higher.. depending on what suit the other cards are aswell.. sometimes i would hold card and break pairs if there is a chance for a straight, flush or royal flush.. 3 of a kind i always hold.. and of course 4 of kind, full house ect, thats a given,, XD

It not only depends on the cards, but also on the size of the bet, and if you have more bankroll or not.

Clearly the risk-free option is to select the two "K", cause in the worst case you get your money back, and in the best case you can win different amounts (depending of the 3 extra cards you get after that). For example a 3 of a kind is not so difficult to get, or 2 pairs.

There are other options that can end often in bust, OR in a big win if you are lucky, like selecting J Q K of clubs and expect a flush, or J Q K 10 for a straight.

While you can do a very complete mathematical analysis about which outcome is more probable, choosing the most probable outcome does not assure you will win....
