Shiest Posted March 11, 2019 #1 Posted March 11, 2019 Choosing the right bet size compared to your balance is critical when gambling and somewhat tricky. I find myself betting too high, which give the potential big win but also leads to becoming busted faster. I would say I usually have a bet size of 1/50 of my balance but not sure if this is actually ok or not... I would love to hear what other people think and start the discussion about bet size strategy. I know if we come together and put our odeas down we can all take some good knowledge and apply it to our gambling. Lets hear it yall! Drink up Hoff and Yolo!! Cheers, Shiest
bmg Posted March 11, 2019 #2 Posted March 11, 2019 I know that betting high isn't always the best idea but i have seen some pretty amazing hits from players taking risk.
Etude Posted March 12, 2019 #3 Posted March 12, 2019 It is actually a good method to bet 1% of your bankroll each time as a bankroll management strategy. Risky large bets that is almost the whole of your bankroll can often lead to dissapointments but on the rare occassion it does give an unexpectedly good result.
Mistake Posted March 12, 2019 #4 Posted March 12, 2019 Base bet? well its depends the game, plinko keno dice my base bet frist is 1k satoshi
jualid Posted March 12, 2019 #5 Posted March 12, 2019 Depends on the multiplier, if i want to hunt a big multiplier like 1000x on plinko, my basebet is 1/1000 of my balance.
polor12 Posted March 12, 2019 #6 Posted March 12, 2019 if you going to bet high.. i highly suggest to build up first..start low then build up to high.. but there are some games staying is best..finding the right game to start betting high is first.
77kdub Posted March 12, 2019 #7 Posted March 12, 2019 There are many factors involved if you want to get scientific about it, but I'm not the strategic scientific type of gambler. The amount of my base bet just depends on the kind of day I'm having, but I do like to go for the bigger wins just because I'm simply to impatient to work on slow steady wins. So I guess one big factor in determining your base bet is how much of a win would you be satisfied with personally and not all determined by your bankroll size.
Kate Posted March 12, 2019 #8 Posted March 12, 2019 For me no matter what my base bet's would differ , for some games like mines and plinko i would go for around 1000 satoshis or 500 satoshis but for games like chartbet i prefer going lower than 200 Satoshis

I totally agree with you on the depends how you are feelin. So true.
polor12 Posted March 13, 2019 #10 Posted March 13, 2019 forget what i said in building up... Bet high get high results...don't be scared..taking risk is part of the game..you can't keep losing right? eventually your roll might come up and you wished you should have bet more then intended...win big or go home broke..as long as you knew that u tried..
BLXN Posted March 13, 2019 #11 Posted March 13, 2019 1% of your balance is a huge percent though .. 0.1% is a good start, there are always long lines of reds you'd never expect, and 1/10% can make the difference between a big hit, and a bust. :s
williamshennie9 Posted March 13, 2019 #12 Posted March 13, 2019 It all depends which multiplier you are going for. Sure, if you are going for 2x, but a bigger chunk of your balance. If you are going for 1000x, don't bet more than 0.01% of your account balance etc. The key is just to have good bank roll management.
cottonbudd Posted March 13, 2019 #13 Posted March 13, 2019 I use bankroll concept. When i have (for example) 0.01 btc, then i will use 30% from my wallet to bankroll. Then from my bankroll i'll rotate my money slowly. For example i play AutoGames with high multiply, i'll start with small bet.
nhoyasim101 Posted March 13, 2019 #14 Posted March 13, 2019 a gambler says if you dont gamble you will not win, we can hit 1000x in plinko but the question is when? managing your bank roll is a good strategy, however do you consistently win with that style? real scenario a guy A has a 40k sats on his account he bets all-in in plinko and hit the 1000x 😉 other guy has 1M sats on his balance managing his bankroll playing all day ended in a busted😀..this is really happen in gambling. so i guess if you feel your day luck then don't mind your bankroll..stop when you get busted. thats part of the game
artizykristy Posted March 13, 2019 #15 Posted March 13, 2019 I usually bet 5% of the balance if I want to find a large payout, but if I look for a low payout (2x or 1.5x) I use 50% / 75% of my balance.
togiy Posted March 13, 2019 #16 Posted March 13, 2019 i never go big .. im always try to increase my balance through small but high payout bets. 1/20 or 1/30 of my balance per bet is what i prefer but it can go up to 1/50 depends on balance value

nuuuitsjdragon Posted March 14, 2019 #18 Posted March 14, 2019 I once saw someone state if going for a decently high multiplier (go figure on the actual amount), your balance should be able to be divided by 17x. However, that division multiplier almost always leaves me nothing to bet with most of the time so I just assume I don’t even have enough balance to play with from the get-go... 😓
OsmaNN Posted April 19, 2019 #19 Posted April 19, 2019 Don't care about the little bet or big bet just play and you lost :)))))
