vycki Posted July 10 #2 Posted July 10 i feel like the semis always sneak up on me and suddenly its almost over, my whole sleep schedule got wrecked staying up for those 3am kickoffs last week lol
gauzearix831 Posted July 10 #3 Posted July 10 I started savin some of the late matches to watch next mornin with breakfast, way less painful than survivin on two hours of sleep. just gotta dodge spoilers like theyre landmines tho
Syltha8 Posted July 11 #4 Posted July 11 I still remember how I blnked and missed half the group stage because I was stuck on a work trip with no reception, came back and half the bracket was already decided.
nylan2 Posted July 11 #5 Posted July 11 can t believe argentina might actually lift it again, that croatia semi was tense
steintia Posted July 11 #6 Posted July 11 I literally set an alarm for the Spain Morocco round of 16 game and sttill dozed off during extra time, only to wake up to my roommate screaming at the penalty shootout. It felt like I blinked and the whole knockout bracket was done, wild how quick it all evaporates after that group stage chaos.
Umbraan34 Posted July 11 #7 Posted July 11 I remember back in 2018 I had this whole plan to watch every knockout game with my dad but then I got called into a weekend shift and missd the entire quarterfinal lineup. came home to find out belgium knocked out brazil and it felt like I just time traveled past the best match of the tournament
onyxlyn5 Posted July 12 #9 Posted July 12 It really does feel like the whole tournament blinked by, especially when you skip a few sleep nights to catch the live action. Did you manage to watch all the games live or did you have to catch some replays too.
daggerncloak Posted July 12 #12 Posted July 12 ? bro fr i blinked and the group stage was gone, now we're down to the final and i'm already sad about the 4 year wait no cap ?
mika0zmfh Posted July 12 #13 Posted July 12 no cap yeah fr it always flies by, then we gotta wait 4 years again lol ?
mikafklij91d Posted July 13 #14 Posted July 13 It always feels like the buiildup takes forever and then the actual games just vanish in a blur. Are you planning to rewatch any of the classic matches during the long wait or just move on completely?
leo8silucwy Posted July 13 #15 Posted July 13 Do you think this edition had more hype because of the winetr timing or did it just feel rushed anyway?
kaii14h32 Posted July 13 #16 Posted July 13 I placed a cheeky bet on France to win it all back in the group stage and now I'm actually sweating every minute. The semis felt like they ended in the blink of an eye and suddenly the final is right there.
leo4lg1zf5 Posted July 13 #17 Posted July 13 I swear I took one bathroom break during the semis and missed both goals lol. Now there's basically one real match left and then the whole thing packs up, feels like i just settled into a routine watching every night. At least i hit a small parlay on Croatia's 3rd place run so not a total loss.
Tyxionda Posted July 13 #18 Posted July 13 I swear i blinked during the quarter finals and mised that crazy bicycle kick, my pizza wasn't even cold yet
0megaFear Posted July 14 #19 Posted July 14 I feel like I barely settled into a watching rhythm and now the calendar is basically empty again, gonna miss those random afternoon games the most.
leompoj5hfr Posted July 14 #20 Posted July 14 honestly the wait feels way worse than the speed of the matches, id rather have the tournament blitz by than drag on for months
halil6p2 Posted July 14 #23 Posted July 14 id rather it blzae through like this than have them drag it over 5 weeks like the euros did tbh, felt like they took forever between games
