slavaan Posted March 19, 2019 #1 Posted March 19, 2019 It certainly seems that the cryptocurrency industry is shifting towards stablecoins. Now IBM is creating for 6 different banks stablecoins based on the Stellar cryptocurrency, and that's already JP Morgan released its own stablecoin. https://all-stocks.net/ibm-to-create-fiat-backed-stablecoins-for-6-banks-with-stellars-xlm/ What do you think? Are stablecoins the "next big thing" in crypto or maybe they're just a phase?
Kate Posted March 19, 2019 #2 Posted March 19, 2019 Well its good to hear a news that banks are being involved rather than banning or going against crypto. Hope this becomes true asap.
Shiest Posted March 19, 2019 #3 Posted March 19, 2019 Thanks for the post! I definitely like to see news updates pertaining to the crypto market. I feel the shift to stablecoins is inevitable so the sooner the better. Imo of course...

Citibank just pulled OUT of a crypto project. So no need to worry about them taking over, besides better to have them on board to legitimize crypto than to be constantly saying it's a scam.
bmg Posted March 20, 2019 #6 Posted March 20, 2019 I feel that things will get to complicated if the whole JP Morgan thing pans out. I sure hope your right wry because i have to say that kix does make a good point.
williamshennie9 Posted March 20, 2019 #7 Posted March 20, 2019 We need stable coins if the big companies are to adopt crypto. I think that is why the price of bitcoin is settling down at $4000, so that it can be stable and hopefully be welcomed by big banks and big companies.

I hope so bitcoin doesn't stabilize because It has to rise so we can get some profits.
