Well, now that we just had a downdraft in the BTC price, time for some good news.

Perpetual BTC supporter and Square CEO  Jack Dorsey is making headlines again for not only wanting to hire more engineers  but to pay them in Bitcoin!

It's only a small number of employees, and they will be working for Square but supporting open source projects, but it's still a fun turn of events.

Square has also recently made news because of the rapid growth of its Square Cash app.  I was excited to hear that Cash App allows for buying and selling of Bitcoin but sadly you CANNOT send bitcoin to it from outside, so since I couldn't use it to spend all my Stake winnings (joke!) I passed for now, though this functionality may be coming soon.

Anyway, a little fun news for the day!  Would you rather work for Bitcoin or your nations currency?

Who would like to be paid in crypto nowadays?

Well there are a lot of people who would love to accept Bitcoin as a payment for their salaries. I know I would because if the price rises them you get a bit more than how much you were promised 😛

What if it falls and keeps being on that level for quite a while? I don't think I'm ready.

This was my question in the original post.  I wouldn't mind, especially if I was in a less developed country that had inflation problems like Venezuela or was facing international sanctions such as Iran.

Well then yeah it is risky but it is yet still fun to say that " I get paid in Bitcoins to others " .

Ahh that sucks lol, but at least there are many other wallet services out there which allow you to store your funds in that wallet :D I'm sure they will allow outside funds to come in soon xD

And then you have to convert it and pay fees and many other unwanted issues. If everything was so simple, the adoption would be widespread already.

There are also many people who would like to work for different countries currencies not their national ones

The salary in cryptocurrency is certainly good, but the rate is too unstable. Maybe in the future. While I prefer to receive a salary in cash.

Well if you are some one like me that used a Visa bitpay card that offers direct deposit the why not get paid in bitcoin.   It would save me a trip to the btm lol.

Well yeah that's true the fees and sending to the correct blockchain address would be like kind of freighting because one wrong word in address boom your salary is gone. But i guess they could make a deal with LocalBitcoins so that the company pays the fees or something like that which would reduce the risk.

A great suggetion indeed but thing is Bitpay is only supplying their cards to specific countries and your country is one of them and it would be hard for Bitpay to support all the countries since there would be a lot of users and since it is a coin which we can't control in the blockchain they would not extend their services anytime soon.

As an option, yeah. Such moments would be especially pleasant in the moments like this current one when the price is rising

I love using the cash app, I probably use I a couple times a week. As for buying Bitcoin with square I don't do yet just because you have too wait over 24 hours just to withdraw any Bitcoin from the app but once they enable instant withdrawals which I'm sure they will do then I will start buying Bitcoin on the app. They are making the right moves.

Is it converted to your local currency just instantly or it's usable in the places where they accept btc only?
