ASICs are Making Ethereum More Decentralize - What BS!

In news crossing the wires today, a little bit of "up is down" type sillyness, Bitmain's Jihan Wu claims that ASICs (application specific integrated circuits) are making Ethereum more decentralized.  Um, hello, by definition making speciality hardware that only some people can afford to use to mine efficiently, by definition, makes crypto more centralized.

I guess since Bitmain MAKES ASICs "down is really up" statements like this should not surprise me, but still, why is this kind of stuff even tolerated by the community?  Seriously, he offers no justification for his statement, just tangents like GPUs also have patents, yeah, that doesn't keep me from easily buying one and often they are bundled with new computers.  Geez.

I wonder how many posts I'll have to make here before I can start to get quoted by reliable news sources?    Seriously, I can do better than this.

lol youre so right, thats definitely a contradiction claiming they want to make it decentralized yet limiting to whom can access it.. sometimes im stunned on how some will not even notice that kind of bs, when individuals or companies uses words people like to see, read or hear as to distracted of the contradiction of their statement.. like the word decentralized..

It is like a lot of politicians nowadays, they say stuff that I literally not true. I can name countless examples in my country alone. Obviously, looking at this objectively, there is no way that this makes ETH more decentralised. I don't even know how you can spin it that way lol.
