Not sure if Diaz is at full sharpness right now though, he just came back from a knock. Digne might actually hold him up better than people expect if they’re rushing him back a bit early.

I still have nightmeres from that Villa game, Diaz left him rooted more than once. Digne?s workrate will help but any isolated footrace is a lost cause honestly.

If Digne shows up like he did in the first half against Madrid last year we mighht see him stick close enough to frustrate Diaz for a while, but the odds on Diaz getting a goal contribution feel tempting when you watch how sharp he looks cutting inside lately.

Digne will probably body him a few times early on but once the game opens up and legs get heavy Diaz will find those pockets. You reckon the ref calls the small fouls or lets them play

digne will stick a tackle early and look solid for 20 mins but the real issue is when diaz drifts central and he loses his man tracking back. happens every time against that kind of movment

I watched that game against Colombia and Diaz dropped a right back like a bad habit with a single shoulder drop, Digne is just gonna get twisted inside out trying to follow that
