I got burned on a PSG game earlier this season where their last 5 looked incredible but the xG told a totally different story, they were scraping wins and it caught up with them. Now I mix it with at least one underlying stat before I trust the shiny form line.

Ive been burned too many times chasing a team that looked great on paper just because their last few results were wins, especially if those wins came against bottom sides. Now I glance at the squad sheet first, if a key midfielder is out or they just played 120 minutes midweek I kinda dont care what the form table says.
