wry Posted April 6, 2019 #1 Posted April 6, 2019 Now this article was a lot of fun! It's a Coindesk article about the news coverage of Bitcoin's recent price breakout to 5000+ USD. Now obviously this is good news for crypto fans, but the haters in the financial press just wont admit the possibility that Bitcoin may actually be useful for some people some of the time! This news story is a recap of some of the more outrageous claims: • Gizmodo - "Nobody Learned Their Lesson After the Crash" • CNBC - Bitcoin Surges "....might have something to do with an April Fool's Joke" It just goes to show that people tend to malign what they don't understand. Totally worth the read! Link: https://www.coindesk.com/the-medias-cringeworthy-coverage-of-bitcoins-latest-price-surge
barbaris Posted April 6, 2019 #2 Posted April 6, 2019 Unfortunately, it is true that people defame something they do not understand, and I have met many such people. Even after explaining what it is, they claim that this is nonsense.
rajamishra Posted April 6, 2019 #3 Posted April 6, 2019 Its true so many peoples still not used their online banking transactions. how the things growing faster to a nano age not even to imagine ,if the digital currency appreciated 10% of the total people then its a miracle happen to all cryptocurrency.

Nice joke on their side tho. The recent Bitcoin rise is a good pump hopefully it is not temporary. There will be people who still hate it just ignore them and invest and be rich and then go to them and ask them what they said about.
williamshennie9 Posted April 7, 2019 #5 Posted April 7, 2019 Don't these idiots think before posting such claims?! I mean, in my country big banks and companies don't publish things like this - they have invested millions into research and way to keep up with technology. It's 2019, companies who go along with the tends, and try shut it down will fail, and companies that spend resources researching and adjusting their market approach will flourish
bmg Posted April 8, 2019 #6 Posted April 8, 2019 I was reading this article and bigmann23 was like "babe what's so funny?" because i was chuckling out loud like a child . I was reading the paragraph with the quoted stament about bitcoin being referred to as "fake money" and "as practical to use in the real world as Monopoly bills"... I swear some people are just so uneducated about the greatness that actually does come from Bitcoin. I mean it really has a great deal of power behind it . Awesome post @wry thank you for sharing this one i enjoyed it.
Etude Posted April 8, 2019 #7 Posted April 8, 2019 Terrible move by the financial press to talk bad about Bitcoin's revival from stagnation but I suppose their purpose and intention was to evoke emotions that serve their objectives which may likely take the sides of the banking systems.
KiXxnTRiXx Posted April 8, 2019 #8 Posted April 8, 2019 Lol, news about that news!.. just had to check it out.. the title alone was intriguing.. @bmg —> “I was reading this article and bigmann23 was like "babe what's so funny?" because i was chuckling out loud like a child . 77kdub Posted April 9, 2019 #9 Posted April 9, 2019 well I wouldn't expect anything less from the mainstream media to be honest. I remember a day when people watched or read the news for useful information but now day's the media is about as reliable & accurate as wikipedia. Wait, wikipedia is probably more reliable & accurate then the mainstream media. 🤨

coinims Posted April 15, 2019 #11 Posted April 15, 2019 Thank you for the article and information my friend, a nice useful information.
vaname Posted May 7, 2019 #12 Posted May 7, 2019 in my opinion, news like this has another purpose, which is to make the public not believe in the development of cryptocurrency. Even though the transaction is done enough to make ordinary people think how could the transaction be done only by scanning the barcode then successfully sent. and also the world bank does not want cryptocurrency known to many people and they certainly lose confidence and the public prefers to do transactions with cryptocurrency because it is easier.
