Wicknda Posted Thursday at 09:00 PM #2 Posted Thursday at 09:00 PM Trio of aces is solid but if the board's paired or there's flush potential, I'm still sweating a bit tbh
bobbywizzy Posted Thursday at 09:04 PM #3 Posted Thursday at 09:04 PM 4 aces id say is the best to have
sandtha Posted Thursday at 09:05 PM #4 Posted Thursday at 09:05 PM Trio of aces is always nice to look at, but yeah if the board's getting coordinated I'm not exactly relaxing either.
sulksilk Posted yesterday at 07:03 AM #5 Posted yesterday at 07:03 AM trio aces got me feeling like the goat until the river burns me again lol
umbraoreon Posted yesterday at 10:27 AM #6 Posted yesterday at 10:27 AM Trio of acces feels solid but in my experiance it rarely holds up as clean as youd hope. Someone always seems to catch the straight or flush on the river and ruin a perfectly good hand.
yukiororia576 Posted yesterday at 10:47 AM #7 Posted yesterday at 10:47 AM I have lost count of how many times a set of aces got cracked by some runner runner straight. I still pile all my chips in with it every time though, no self control.
legacyynna Posted yesterday at 11:20 AM #8 Posted yesterday at 11:20 AM aces are nice and all but honestly ive seen pocket kings take it down way more consistently against loose callers, feels like everyone always expects the aces
nylarenne Posted yesterday at 11:33 AM #9 Posted yesterday at 11:33 AM Trio of aces is great but I always feel like I hold my breath until the river, especially if there's any flush or straight potential showing. Were you ahead the whole way or did the turn make it sweaty for you?
sophaltos Posted yesterday at 02:30 PM #10 Posted yesterday at 02:30 PM one trick i use with trip aces on a dry board is to size down a bit on the turn, keeps in hands like middle pair taht would fold to a bomb
kovaanlia Posted 22 hours ago #11 Posted 22 hours ago I'll take trip aces over kings any day, at least you're not second guessing every overcard on the flop.
selenelia Posted 8 hours ago #12 Posted 8 hours ago Honestly I just nod and push the chips forward when the third ace lands. Not much to think about really, either its good or the board pairs weird and someone shows up with a full house out of nowhere.
loron Posted 8 hours ago #13 Posted 8 hours ago Compared to slow playing them, I just shove with trip aces every time.
lilyenne Posted 7 hours ago #14 Posted 7 hours ago I dunno, trio aces is huge but a suited connector floppin a straight flush feels more unbeatable somehow.
faithix Posted 7 hours ago #15 Posted 7 hours ago One thing I always watch with trio of aces is when the board gets really wet, like three to a flush or a ton of conneted cards because suddenly even just two pair isnt sweating it, they might even feel cozy enough to play back at you, so you kinda have to sniff out if that sizing scream is confidence from some sneaky boat you didn't see coming yet.
nalorora Posted 7 hours ago #16 Posted 7 hours ago Nothing beats that jolt of adrenline when the third ace hits the flop, feels like an instant win button most nights.
zylora6 Posted 5 hours ago #17 Posted 5 hours ago trio aces is strong but i find myself folding it more than i expected lately with how often boards run out scary. still wins more than it loses so i just play it straightforward and dont overthink.
Tycys Posted 3 hours ago #18 Posted 3 hours ago I almost never slow play them, I just bet and let someone with kings convince themselves I am bluffing.
lorelvar Posted 54 minutes ago #20 Posted 54 minutes ago Lost with em to a rivered straight flush last nite
Luxlor Posted 11 minutes ago #22 Posted 11 minutes ago Trips aces is wild, i always mess up and slowplay them into a straight on accident
