wry Posted April 15, 2019 #1 Posted April 15, 2019 Yes, you are reading that headline correctly. Binance announced that effective 22 April they would no longer host trading pairs for Bitcoin SV on their site. What's really remarkable is why... As many of you know, Craig Wright, a core backer of SV, has claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto. Of course, he didn't prove this by moving any of Satoshi's coins or signing a message, he just showed it in some other ways that convinced a few people for a little while. So as a result, very few people really believe him. However, he's taken exception to so many people thinking he is full of poop and started harassing people on Twitter. So Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao decided to delist Bitcoin SV. Needless to say Bitcoin SV's price is collapsing on the news. Sorry if any of you are holding any. Bitcoin SV forked off of Bitcoin Cash (now called Bitcoin Cash ABC, and the Bitcoin Cash that is used on Stake) last November. It's actually been worth a fair amount, at one time being worth more than ABC, but it looks done for now. What a bozo. So, serious question, why would anyone claim to be Satoshi but refuse to prove it in an easy way and then get upset and harass and threaten legal action against those who doubt their claim? echang426 Posted April 15, 2019 #2 Posted April 15, 2019 Wow, well that is definitely a major blow for BTCSV, but the real test will be if other exchanges follow suit and delist the crypto as well. This could be the death knell for BTCSV but it's still a little early to tell. Being delisted on one major exchange is never good news, but it alone does not define the future of a cryptocurrency. Even though Craig Wright, has never proven he is Satoshi Nakamoto, there are still people that support BTCSV over BTCABC so unless that majority of that support shifts, BTCSV will hang on, even if just barely. Should be an interesting story to keep following.
cryptofly Posted April 16, 2019 #3 Posted April 16, 2019 At this particular time, BSV is 22.5% down. Only 24 hours before binance decided to delist it. Surely this will create a reference point for the crypto ecosystem. I`m not a hodler but I am always aware of the news and from my point of view it is happening mostly because Craig attitude (remember the picture with cuban dancers) than the technical issues. Technical issues can be fixed. My point of view only.
williamshennie9 Posted April 16, 2019 #4 Posted April 16, 2019 Bitcoin SV will definitely suffer as a result of this. I mean, binance is a massive exchange platform, and having them delist Bitcoin SV will definitely decrease the number of people who trade it.
Kate Posted April 16, 2019 #5 Posted April 16, 2019 Well i guess we had that coming. To be honest the fork not only killed Bitcoin SV but also Bitcoin ABC ( Bitcoin Cash ) in a way. Being delisted from Binance is a very huge thing.
wry Posted April 16, 2019 Author #6 Posted April 16, 2019 I didn't think it rated it's own thread, but this article is hysterical. It is the background on Craig Wright and his efforts to sue people calling him a "fraud" for claiming to be Satoshi. Just classic reading!!! It sets up the article in the OP. peel1 Posted April 16, 2019 #7 Posted April 16, 2019 Kinda show how powerful binace is cuz its price significantly tanked
KiXxnTRiXx Posted April 16, 2019 #8 Posted April 16, 2019 lol wtf.. why would anyone pretend to be Satoshi Nakamoto.. thats just plainly weird.. i wonder what he had hoped to gain for trying to convince the community someone welll known.. .. geesus.. some peeps just for attention does things that makes no sense whatsoever.. well he got the attention, i guess its not something one would want, but thats what he deserves i guess for choosing such a dumb prank.. oh well
wry Posted April 17, 2019 Author #9 Posted April 17, 2019 Okay, wow, this is getting a lot less funny, Kraken and Shapeshift have both announced that they are ALSO delisting Bitcoin SV. Wow, talk about blowback for being a jerk to the community. Sympathies to any SV holders out there! Thank Eddie that Stake went with ABC and not SV! echang426 Posted April 17, 2019 #10 Posted April 17, 2019 Lol well, if SV is delisted, all holders should get out now. On the flip side, I hope this means a resurgence for ABC's price

And the reason to delist was just because Craig Wright said he was a Satoshi without any evidence. Maybe this was just a joke, but Binance reacted very strictly. I would even say very strictly. Who is going to be delisted next, when he didnt show any proof of something ? Btw, since no one know who is Satoshi Nakamoto, then in some way bitcoin is also "unreal" currency. Lets delist it also
Etude Posted April 17, 2019 #12 Posted April 17, 2019 Yups thankfully indeed in this case that Stake went with Bitcoin Cash ABC instead of Bitcoin SV. 😮
bmg Posted April 17, 2019 #13 Posted April 17, 2019 This will most definitely will be a rough one on bitcoin SV.
rajamishra Posted April 17, 2019 #14 Posted April 17, 2019 hello friends all the news are not rumors then its bad news for those who are holding big % BTCSV,when a most renowned trading /exchange platform delisting a coin, its lost the grip of the market capping.hope its not happening with BTCSV .
vaname Posted May 7, 2019 #15 Posted May 7, 2019 wow the chances of SV bitcoin coins will drop further and not have a price on the market. what we know is that binance is the largest market in the world if binary issues the coin, it means that there will be many traders who start switching to other coins.
