hui Posted April 23, 2019 #26 Posted April 23, 2019 There are two main problems that caused this to be disabled: - people running to support crying about their mutes wtf, really? all the mutes i saw were reasonable and deserved and always kind in terms of time. shouldn't people that consider themselves grown up enough to gamble with money be also grown up enough to bear a mute of an hour or two without running to "mama", crying? - lots of nice things we had got abused even things i thought could only do good like titlebot had a "time off" due to abuse. as being able to chat is a privilege those nice things should be considered one, too. there were other things most of you don't know of that were discarded for the same reason - and it's only a matter of time till we see more of such nice things like rains and faucets be removed, too. wake up! tl;dr: check your privileges, and don't abuse them.

Wanted to rain after a big hit but didn't remember it was / rain. And typed...!rain.. Guess what? Been self muted for an hour or maybe a little more... So in fact even if! Bonzo don't work anymore I'm pretty sure! Rain can do the job... That said I barely see the need if such function. For myself I play on phone only so it s maybe different from laptop players but when I busted a lot and am in rage or when I m tired of being on stake well I just let the phone idle and go do anything irl including sleeping.. I mean in betting all is about selfcontrol so better be able to take a break from your betting activities. And if not maybe best is not to gamble. Or ask mod for mute 😉

So if it's only muting ppl how could help in anyway? If it's a ban for an hour I'd understand why it can be helpful. But as long as it just muting ppl leaving them betting I don't see the point. But I guess I'm wrong?

Although unfortunately in the past it has also happened more than once that people wanted to be muted and still ended up on support requesting an unmute a tiny bit later...

Yeah, or I was suggesting that people ask live support to mute them if they really wanted to be muted that badly lol. Alternatively you could just break one of the chat rules if you wanted a mute, but this isn't ideal, especially if you want to keep your reputation up the standard.
