Do gamblers love skill games to earn money?

This post is just informative. I just want to know what gambling community think about it.

Today I downloaded an app on my phone with all skilled based games. You can play 1vs1 and there are daily, weekly, monthly competitions starting from 3 players up to 1-2-3-... thousand players. I am not mentioning the apps name. I don't want to promote other things as stake in this forum. I found this app by an advertisement in another game. The promoted this app as a skill based game where real money can be won.

This attracted my attention and I downloaded the app. It is a very cool app with several different games like archery, 9ball pool, free kick shooter, bowling, tower stack and some more. You can play the game for free with their in game currency or you can decide to deposit real money to compete in the games and competitions. Also you can use your in game currency to play free games and win real money.

I am really excited about this app. Beside gambling I love playing skill based 1on1 games. And I really like you can make real money just by playing games.

 

.....However like you would already have thought.... only fiat deposits and withdrawals are possible, I guess kyc is necessary to withdraw money cause I noticed several verification tiers, probably a high fee. 

So this already makes the app less attractive.... But this brings me to my point and question....

Would you be interested in an app or website that offers skilled based games where you compete 1on1 games or join competitions? Would you love playing for example bowling, pool, free kicks and win real crypto with it? 

Me personally love the idea. This would be something different like gambling and make it an entire skill based game where you can win real crypto. There would of course be a small service fee but at the end there would be no house to bead.

1v1 is good depending on what game it is.. other than gambling, i do play pvp games which i enjoy.. but since i joined stake, i havent put much time in playing anything else but the games here..

Based on the title of your topic, I would say that gamblers that are in it for long term are people that prefer skill based games, such as poker. Others that play slots regularly as an example, often do so simply for entertainment, or addiction.

Of course i would love to play and ear by my skills. This not only hypes me up more because of  the sense of competition , but  it will also make me feel so much better and feel more deserved for the prize. 

Also, you can see that poker is a very popular game in gambling. It involves skills and luck combined against your opponents. From here you can observe how much gamblers love gambling that involves skills.

Sounds awful to me. If I want to bet money I'd rather know my chances of winning, at least even with house edge here there's a roughly fair chance.

Playing skill games for money sounds like great fun with potential to earn money, which is why I suspect the exact opposite. Sure at the lowest levels you'll find some equally clueless guy and you'll 50-50 it, with rake going to the company. A little higher in stakes and you'll go up against people with some kind of edge, or a bot, or absolute best case scenario it's a nolifer who plays 24/7 and has it all figured out.

If I deposit $100k into it what are the chances I will come out with $101k? Absolutely none.

Well skill games can only be played against a human and not a Robot because robot can calculate and do things much faster than us , if it is a skill based against a human then yeah i would love to !

You must remember that such things like that will always require KYC and if some bussiness was generous with something like that using crypto it would heavily be abused and they would lose a lot of money noticably. dont get your hopes up for something like that in the future!

I guess this sounds like it would be something refreshing on Stake. It would be player vs player kinda game that is skill dependant but also can be negatively affected by variables such as internet connection speed and lag.

it would be something fresh on stake.

Yes, skilled based games can be very interesting and hope Stake will add some in the future.

yeah I love it as well. I have been playing the app I found and I already made some bucks by playing archery, darts and pool against another player in heads up games. But I am not happy about needing to pass KYC in order to be able to withdraw my winnings. So I will not make any deposit to this app cause I am not a fan of KYC. That's why I mentioned I would be excited if I see something similar but based on crypto deposits.

I really like the type of game you share in this thread. I like the majority. Even I have been searching for games that can pay me a lot. But I am looking for one that can be played via PC, not Android based. Because sometimes I feel saturated as well for every day struggling with the world of betting.

If gamblers would love to use their skill to win money they could just perform some kinda job or sport to earn money because theyre good at it. Gambling is about the thrill and adrenaline rush!!!!!

Well, talking about poker, yeah there are skills which let them win and win, but its not gambing when youre not youre gonna win, thats a rule.:D

To have a 1 on 1 game will be so cool. You say how much you want to stake, then you play. Its a very good initiative. Very very good. Maybe stake can implement it and make it work. Who knows?

well it depends on what you mean as skill game.... only one i can think of that is skill based as well as luck is

poker (like pvp poker) blackjack needs no skill for example just folo the standard strat... 

 

and to answer the question, i think it depends on how good u are to determine if u love it or not
