Rexit77 Posted Thursday at 09:10 PM #1 Posted Thursday at 09:10 PM France came into this tournament as one of the favourites to lift the trophy. They have world-class players, major tournament experience, and the expectation of reaching the final stages. But Morocco have shown, once again, that heart, discipline, and belief can compete with any footballing giant. They have defended brilliantly, played without fear, and proved they belong among the world’s best. So here’s the big question: If Morocco knocks out France tonight, would you call it the biggest upset of this World Cup? Or has Morocco already done enough over recent tournaments to prove they should no longer be considered “underdogs”? At what point does a surprise team stop being a surprise and start being a genuine football powerhouse? Would a Morocco victory be down to France underperforming, or Morocco simply being the better team? Personally, I think football has evolved. The gap between traditional giants and emerging nations is getting smaller every tournament. Maybe it’s time we stop calling teams like Morocco “dark horses” and start treating them as serious contenders. What’s your take? If Morocco wins tonight, is it a historic upset—or just the result of a team that’s finally getting the respect it deserves? 🇲🇦⚽🇫🇷
Thornixxen Posted yesterday at 11:12 AM #2 Posted yesterday at 11:12 AM Morocco definitely showed they can hang with the best but taking down France on this stage would still feel massive given the talent gap. Do you think a win like that would finally get people to stop calling them a Cinderella story and just see them as genuine contenders?
Jaderayn Posted yesterday at 12:15 PM #5 Posted yesterday at 12:15 PM do you think their coach staying matters more than the players on the pitch right now

Unfortunately they couldn’t win but then they won our hearts , kudos to them

raxummia Posted yesterday at 01:00 PM #9 Posted yesterday at 01:00 PM I remember I actually put a small bet on Morocco to win in regular time during the Spain game back in 2022 because their shape was just that solid, so if they pulled this off now I wouldn't even call it a pure shock anymore. At this point calling them underdogs feels lazy, they've arrived. Rexit77 1

voraryth Posted 23 hours ago #13 Posted 23 hours ago I stuck a fiver on Morocco to make semis in 2022 after watching them shut down Portugal, everyone at the pub called me mental but that dfense was something else. Honestly at this point calling them an upset feels lazy.
sophnda Posted 9 hours ago #14 Posted 9 hours ago Watching them hold Belgium to a draw in the group stage told me all I needed about their organization honestly.
cloton Posted 8 hours ago #15 Posted 8 hours ago people keep focusing on the france side but what gets me is that morocco defense isnt even their full story, that midfield block stays so compacct for the whole 90 mins its unreal. i think even if they lost tonight you cant call them an upset team anymore after last wc run
peltki68 Posted 8 hours ago #17 Posted 8 hours ago France alwasy sleepwalk through early rounds. This won't be different.
hollowund Posted 7 hours ago #18 Posted 7 hours ago Bet on under 2.5 goals if this stays tight early, both defenses look locked in.

ravarium Posted 6 hours ago #20 Posted 6 hours ago France just don’t look as sharp this tournament and their fullbacks keep leaving gaps that Morocco will absolutely exploit if they get a chance on the break. Wouldn't call it the biggest upset in history but it would certianly be the standout of this year so far.
kovaireon Posted 5 hours ago #21 Posted 5 hours ago I think at this point calling it a huge upset feels a bit disrespectful to how consistently Morocco have performed lately, they've been solid since the last World Cup run. Do you feel like the media still treats them as a plucky underdog or have they finally started getting proper respect?
ravellia Posted 4 hours ago #22 Posted 4 hours ago nah i wouldnt call it the biggest upset, morocco proved last world cup they can hang with anyone and this france squad looks way less scary than before. honestly at this point its more of a shock if france actually shows up organized
rexolin33 Posted 38 minutes ago #23 Posted 38 minutes ago Frnce alwasy sleepwalk through early rounds. This won't be different.
