allisonn Posted May 5, 2019 #1 Posted May 5, 2019 I'll get ahead of myself a little and say that I'm assuming the next upgrade to Stake will be addition of some form of sports/events betting. If not feel free to disregard. I hope that when it's released, the sports betting forums will be cleaned up a little and some new rules be put in place to deter the many touts that will prey on my fellow players who may be less experienced. If I told you to bet on red or black and expected to be paid when you hit the bet, anyone would consider this a big joke. However as actual prediction plays a huge part in sports betting, there will be lots of people and organizations claiming to guide you to pure profit, with just one or more easy payments! It's very probable that chat will be full of this stuff as well, broke guys yelling out coinflip picks all day and hoping to get tips when they end up on the correct side. I hope that we can still maintain some sort of normal chat activity instead, which may require new, hard rules to be enforced in chat. I'm not against people making predictions or talking about them. I'm against activity that makes a person more money, the more he spams something in chat/forums. Because what he's gonna do is spam it all day.
FotisNt Posted May 15, 2019 #2 Posted May 15, 2019 Well, I'm sure that there will be a section about predictions and stuff which won't be bad at all, althought, it will be useful for everyone. By the way, there is a limit on posts per day so there won't be a problem about spam. And some people are actualy spending some time to be active on forum so that's rewardable, nothing bad with that at all.

But I do agree with OP that there will be tens that will claim they are good predictors and want to get paid. I do not mind people asking money for their prediction service but then in my opinion they first need to be able to show a proven track record. Every serious sports gambler and predictor do keep an entire and detailed track record.... at least that is what I am doing myself
