ceastem Posted May 20, 2019 #1 Posted May 20, 2019 The follow feature allows you to get notifications for every post of the followed member. This is great especially if you follow @Giveaway so that you will not miss any rewards. But I think it is not working. I have followed "giveaway" for a long time now that i forgot when, but I do not get notifs on his every post (which i should have) Here is an example: It can be seen that giveaway posted last May 14. But it does not show in my notifications. Why is that? Or I mistook the real use of the follow button?

They might have the notifications turned off for @Giveaway because you need to check actively if you won something ... Just a guess though

It's because I made sure to use this on the past team competition too. Following members of my team and of course opponents to see if they posted bets or not. Even before, this feature seemed useless since no notification was sent. I wish to get informed more about this feature. If only any supports or admins can clear this up for me. I thought Dan always checks this side of the forum often, but it seems like my two recent posts here are ignored with no explanations. Oh well.

BUT it will also send you notifs if someone comments their winning bets (which i find very annoying). I want only too get notifs from the challenges section when it's time to get the rewards since there's really nothing much to talk about there. Sometimes i get excited to see that i have notifications because someone reacted on my posts, quoted me, etc. It always makes me feel bummed when I see it's only "XXX commented on THIS CHALLENGE" . I'd rather receive notifications ONLY from Giveaway if it's on the challenge section.

Not sure if I miss them, or if they don't come at all. I just wish Stake would make an automatic list on each user's account of available coupons to claim. Then we would not have to spend so much time searching for the links.

I don't even remember the last time i got the notif from giveaway if i don't follow the post itself. What I usually do nowadays is unfollow the post then follow it again when it is locked. Although this is quite troublesome since I still tend to forget sometimes. I just wish for it to work properly, and if possible, hear the opinion of the dev on this matter

So if Giveaway comments on something and so do 5 other people, it will come up in notifications, but Giveaway's name might not always be shown. I would also like to hear what the devs think of this

Can you, please, go to your Notification Settings page and enable this option, like shown in the screenshot below: It should be all good after that change is made.
