Higher wagered amounts to chat.

Hey stakers, So nowadays on Stake, it's a fact that begging isn't over yet, instead it just raises which is annoying to everyone! Anyone can just deposit half a dollar and start chatting by wagering it until the limit is exceeded. Would you like to see a higher limit than just 100$? Would be decrease spam/begging a bit? Lemme hear your thoughts!

I have thought this same thing for a very long time.  It should be a privilege to be able to hang out with all the OG stakers lol.

I even heard some people complaining due to it being "very high" so I guess it would be a no. Although I gotta admit that if it is higher, it might fix the alt spams a little, for now but it will  come back again when the limit is reached. 

Some people are just stupid and greedy at the same time. No matter how much you warn them, they just repeat begging and spamming. The people are the problem, not the system.

Indeed, but it's Stake's fault, even if a user spams you 24/7 for a loan or a tip, he might got a max of 2 days mute, so he will just come back stronger. There should be apply, harder punishments to users who spams begging stuff, for me.

just to chat you have to wager that much.. why just make it where a person have to deposit that amount.. meaning they have to keep depositing until all the deposit make up that one hundred mark.. it shows that person is willing to deposit instead of waiting on rains,, or begs etc,, the site want to see whose willing to actually play and spend their money here,, right,,. that is why people sometimes complains about rain.. why they not getting it while some that dont deposit do.. that is really kinda unfair right,. they say they change how the rain is distributed,, but i know for a fact chatting is major roll still.. and not wager 1 bet,, what also confusing is that how chatbot receives rain,, it only announces the price or seen player etc...oh wait chat.. like i mention before chat still plays a major roll in getting rained on,.

Maybe instead of wagering 100$ change it to 100$ deposit if they can reach 100$ deposit they can now start chatting . what do you think ?

Maybe 1 account per ip/computer?  Higher deposit is also a good idea

I dont believe we should exclude anyone bc they are less fortunate than some others. Maybe they live in a developing nation that is exploited by the west for cheap labor therefore they may not be afforded the same opportunities that we may have had. I dont see this as a reason to exclude them from chat or activities. 

How about a $5 or $10 deposit limit instead? 

My guess is that >90% of the spammers/scammers will not be depositing here at all. If that is the case then a $10 deposit limit would essentially have the same level of effectiveness. 

If my hypothesis is true then small deposit limit (like $5-10) would eliminate over 90% of the spam and would also ensure that faucet users whom are exclusively feeding off of the faucet with contributions would also be excluded. 

This approach effectively solves the problem at hand here which is spam, whilst maintaining a universally inclusive policy which welcomes and embraces those of all socioeconomic classes and geographic regions.

It sounds a little bit harsh in my opinion. If Stake increase the wagering amount to 100$, it might decrease the activity of chat so much and punish those users who don't beg. 
I wonder why they don't mute users let's say for a week, but only couple days.

I think make it more harder to get rain, like minimum wager $100 is only for chat but to able to get rain the minimum wager must be $200 or even more.

its already updated, but yea i think it should be still harder to get a rain. just to get all these alts out.

I would like to see a higher limit, but I think $100 is reasonable. You cannot get there without depositing (given how low the faucet is). So I think it is fair, and it would be unfair to new users to make it higher in my opinion.

That's why stake increased the minimum from 1$ to 10$ and now they have done it to 100$ it isn't 1$ now , and yeah it annoys that they can deposit 1$ and just go on dice with full green and reach that easily.

Hell, I'd make it 1 btc wagered but it's inevitable that the more popular stake becomes, the more congested stake will get. 

Adding more rooms for different languages might help but many people who hardly speak English still come to English chat anyways.

hope its a good suggestions from many friends ,hope the system updates accordingly and avoiding those type of incident again and again.or some new innovation like what i  thinking make the people as group as their wagering pattern daily basis   .when the login enter into main chat but as per the wager prompt step by step to higher group and no one can access that group except those who r within that group only. but those group can communicate every one less than his groups wagerings.it can be  due to now stake use some new tech i know the developer can done these things easily.

Any limit wont decrease spamming, sadly. If there's smth you can get for free - there always will be people, who will try to abuse it.

Spam was less before rainbot was implemented, but then mods/supports had more work with daily tipping/trivias/etc.

Over the past week I have seen more beggars than all the time. They are everywhere and in chat and on Discord and on the forum. Increasing the amount I think will lead to nothing. It is necessary to ban on the ID of them PC. And they simply will not be able to create another account and continue to beg.

When I first came to Stake I didn't even bother sticking around when I saw I could not chat.  I love chats and if I can't chat I have little interest in playing.

Fortunately at the time you only had to wager like 50K satoshi to chat.  I saw on Bitcoin Talk a Stake giveaway for 50K satoshi, so I called it even and decided to register and stick around.  I guess it's a good thing that I did.

The problem is the tension between welcoming new users and preventing abusive people on the site.  Sadly, I don't think there is a silver bullet other than clear rules, good mods & support, and a strong community.  All of which I think Stake has.  I'd actually be more concerned about people abusing all the giveaways, of which I think there is a lot, rather than breaking a clear rule and begging in chat.

I don't think a deposit requirement would have any effect at all.  All the bad actor will do is send the deposit from one account to another, problem solved.

People respond to incentives, if you incentivize bad behavior, e.g. rainbots that rain to spammers, then you are going to get that.  In some odd way, Stake may want that, e.g. an "active chat."

I mean that chat was less spam when there was no need to chat but wager to get rain. It was few months ago, I remember that days I become rain without writing something to chat. 

Deposit and wager amount can a bit help but not at all. 

Question is also how will chat look when there will be 10 000 users online and yes 1 000 active users in EN chat in the future. If everyone write only one post in chat in one minute, it will be 16 posts per 1 second (50 posts in 3 seconds). It will look spammy too.

yea especially on challanges the chat is so full of spam...

since the new challange channel there are still ppl who spam the whole english chat
