r1a2y3m4 Posted May 21, 2019 #1 Posted May 21, 2019 This is how I compensate for my loss in gambling: I gamble again but this time I do it in full control. Full control means I will be more careful than before that made me lose that much. I'll consider playing another game. Since there are a lot of games in stake.com, what if your luck resides on other games? Accept your loss and try to get out of gambling for a little bit. Try to make yourself happy. Being depressed for a long time kills you.
williamshennie9 Posted May 21, 2019 #2 Posted May 21, 2019 The best way to recover your losses is to accept them and move on. Most of the time, trying to recover a loss just leads to more losses, which can have a serious negative effect on a person. So best to accept them and move on.

kurian Posted May 21, 2019 #4 Posted May 21, 2019 In my opinion, the best way to compensate for your loss is to never try to recover your loss. Most of the time it would only make you lose hard. I had experienced the worst situation when I was playing to get back the money I had to lose over bets and never succeeded. If you have control over your betting, do it on a moderate level. Take betting as a way of entertainment. Thereby, you can enjoy unexpected winnings.
barbaris Posted May 21, 2019 #5 Posted May 21, 2019 Better not try to recover the loss from this, you will lose even more. Just play as usual and do not think about losing.

Yes, it could help you do it, but remember in gambling, nothing is guaranteed. You could lose even more money, which is why I don't suggest it. You'll be glad you didn't lose more in the long run
cointikka Posted May 22, 2019 #7 Posted May 22, 2019 Add these to the list. I will Gamble for fun and not for Money. I will Gamble small amount, if I loose I will loose small. If I win some I will loose some. I always remember them, when ever I am in a mood for some Gambling.

I have been saying the same thing for so long. I couldn't agree with you more . I think that there is no point in saying "recover" because you cant recover something thats gone... Call it a lose, pick your self up and hope for the best next time.
Sefan Posted May 22, 2019 #9 Posted May 22, 2019 Ye don't think about recovering, its not worth it to deposit to try to win back what you lost and more, as you might end up losing that too, thats why i play only with what i can afford, i don't deposit if it would put me in financial strain for the month
jkd123 Posted May 22, 2019 #10 Posted May 22, 2019 Accept lose is the best way. And like @bmg said don't try to recover your losses. It's just unlucky session. Since its's gambling, there will be lucky or unlucky, win or lose.
ceastem Posted May 22, 2019 #11 Posted May 22, 2019 The best way is always to breathe and do something else. Having you chase losses leads to more losses just as the others have already stated. Maybe it's time for you to spend more time for your family or do some chores. Try to keep your mind out of it cause the moment you lose yourself to the chase, the more you will lose. Just rest first and good luck on your next session!
Etude Posted May 22, 2019 #12 Posted May 22, 2019 It is indeed true that the best way to cope with losses is to accept that it has already happened and in the past and not to chase the losses in a reckless manner than only ends up digging a deeper hole which is counter-productive.
pfodo Posted May 22, 2019 #13 Posted May 22, 2019 Today I compensated my 3M BTC loss from last 12 hours with another 1M BTC deposit and risky and lucky keno hit of 270x multiplier and 8M BTC profit. Add it to the list too
polor12 Posted May 22, 2019 #14 Posted May 22, 2019 I strongly agree with you with number 3 and 4.. accepting and not to over think or linger on the loss that was made by you.. it wont kill you but put you in different state in mind.. in a dark place or in other words in a hole that keeps going deeper and deeper.. the hole a person that keeps digging down instead of figuring out how to get out of the hole.. admitting the decision to gamble is the first step.. learning how to budget is the second step. learning to constraint yourself and sticking to the budget that you set yourself in.. should be the 3rd or even 2nd step..setting priorities where your money is most needed can be the first step but i say 4th step for the time being.. what ever you can say is more important.. consider gambling a adult fun time away from work or what ever stressed you out in life.. gambling suppose to be enjoyable.. to most.. knowing you can win big and lose big.. basically know you limit.. there is no such thing recovering your lost..because the money you spent in recovering the money was lost in the previous time.. how can recover the money that was spent for recovering the money that was lost.. think about it,,
GKD09 Posted May 22, 2019 #15 Posted May 22, 2019 Losses are definitely part of the game, be it gambling, trading, businesses or whatever. When it comes to gambling I think it is key that you find the best style to gamble in the first place. You need to have some sorta strategy too, unless you are super rich and you don't care about that money at all. Always, have your mental stops on where you should not continue. Because doubling up will just make you lose way more!! REMEMBER that even if you're strategy includes like a number of rolls that seems very likely in your favour, say 99% you can still lose. Just like how people win 1000x on plinko with around 0.015%, you can lose all your money in a strategy that has a 99.985% odds in your favour. So think carefully before you chase and keep losing, wait till your luck comes around again and try again. Good luck and take care!

Kate Posted May 25, 2019 #17 Posted May 25, 2019 A good way you got there for yourself but the ad truth is when someone loses then he or she can't forget about it and keeps thinking about it.
nuuuitsjdragon Posted May 25, 2019 #18 Posted May 25, 2019 I think the best way to compensate for loss is not to treat it as a loss but rather to frame your 2nd-try as a brand new situation, independent from the previous one. This helps to prevent the “loss aversion” bias, where we are more likely to prevent losses rather than to gain wins - even if both situations garnered the same value. Of course, this doesn’t work perfectly in gambling as even with a second chance, the outcome factors are still as unclear as they were before. However, one slight way in which it does help is to prevent making the wrong decisions when your re-deposit starts dipping again (and it will). A usual situation is when facing an imminent loss, we get increasingly flustered and naturally this leads to bad decisions that causes a domino effect till we bust. Imagine though, if you had gotten slightly lucky from the get-go and made a decision to withdraw what you have “lost” + your initial deposit. The remaining amount would then be yours to play with without any stress even if you managed to lose it all. Of course, this leads to another bias in which the valued item is of lesser worth if it’s not ours to begin with - causing yet again extremely risky decisions which leads to a bust! With so many bias at play, just remember to go in with a stable frame of mind and always, always check your current status and play to make sure you are exactly where you thought you were in your session, before it’s too late to do anything! 😊
akmal1984 Posted May 25, 2019 #19 Posted May 25, 2019 A very good suggestion. Although I myself actually do not like to take risks to recover against my defeat. I prefer to forget it and I prefer to prepare a new strategy without having to be burdened to restore my lost balance. Because once I tried to recover, you know what happened instead I lost more than the first defeat. Since then I have stopped thinking about recovering every time I lose.
rajamishra Posted May 25, 2019 #20 Posted May 25, 2019 hello friends its more often every one done when losses so much immediately tried for recover and result ripped all and frustrated including me too.but 1 to 2 % time just left the game and move around came after 30 to 40 min later ,its easily recover and win more what was u lost.me too done same thing and wd but its happen only less chances due no control with our eagerness.
sandricks Posted May 25, 2019 #21 Posted May 25, 2019 before you start playing just accept tha reality that on gamble many losser than winner and spend a little amount of money for gamble cause when it loose its not hurt or bother you always
FotisNt Posted May 25, 2019 #22 Posted May 25, 2019 I'd go with the last two ones, getting over losses is the best option to avoid losing more money & time. Doing something to cheer you up after losing is the best option out there.. some drinks and a walk might help.
Cyber2019 Posted May 25, 2019 #23 Posted May 25, 2019 A very good question. I would walk away, like just to cool down. rip out a few hairs. Swear a bit. Than, if I feel reasonably good. I'd look at my game and figure out how to not make same mistake again. Play safe is the only way to go! 😎
wngo123 Posted June 20, 2019 #24 Posted June 20, 2019 Quote I gamble again I would say the worst thing that you could do when you want to compensate with loss is to gamble again. The best way is to just take a break and wait. If you lost a lot of money then wait at least 24 hours. I know it is hard, but it's really good way to handle things like that.
