Shaniqua Posted May 25, 2019 #1 Posted May 25, 2019 hey all, I've been thinking of taking a break from playing stake and other sites online for a while... I was wondering how long is the longest you have taken a break form stake (and other sites all together)? why was the reason for the break, and was it easy not playing or visiting the site, I mean even if one does not decide to play or demo.... ones friends are still here o: that makes it more hard I think.. but anyways.. any advice or tips on how to take successful breaks from stakes? its easy for me not to play on other sites but stake is kind of special and is harder to stay away from o: Gary has me under his monstrous spell I think!

bmg Posted May 25, 2019 #3 Posted May 25, 2019 I honestly think that I have really only taken a break for 7 days in a row at one time from here and 2 other sites in about 2 years. Wow when I say that out loud it sounds kinda like I need to rethink my whole way of spending my time.

polor12 Posted May 25, 2019 #5 Posted May 25, 2019 for me a cut down is most likely to happen in the next couple days.. is not really difficult.. like i said before in other topics with the same general question..know your priorities first... stake should never be one,, is entertainment only,, and yet some people forgot about that,, is secondary life it seems they have.. not saying the behavior is strange or not normal... but having that chat box.. really change the game in online gambling.. is really amazing how many people i spoke to saying stake is a big escape not just for gambling but from their personal life.. people do get attach.... is almost like playing the sim game but without the A.I,. shoot i was into play World Of Warcraft MMORPG...but what eve.. any online community it will have that kind of affect. just never mix your personal and your stake life together.
artizykristy Posted May 25, 2019 #6 Posted May 25, 2019 I have stopped gambling at the stake for 6 months because there was a job at the irl that made me very busy until finally I could not open the stake site if you want to try to take a break from the stake, try to find a job that makes you a little busy or go on vacation to a place where there is no internet network

jkd123 Posted May 25, 2019 #8 Posted May 25, 2019 I take a break last month. Because I was busy. Maybe you should try to make yourself doing stuff in real. More busy in real meaning less time to get on to play stake and others.

I tried it once to take a break from the gambling world, I had to go for only 4 days, and it was still hell on earth. But sometimes you need to take a break so as not to be too addicted. Because addiction is real and not good for the mind and soul. Gambling addiction is not good though, because you can go real broke very fast because of that. Like real broke. SO sometimes you just need air to clear your head and leave gambling a little bit.

The last time I took a break from stake or gambling in general was in December of 2017, right around the peak when Bitcoin hit 20k. The reason I stopped gambling which was for a total of 3 or 4 months if I remember correctly, was because I ended up winning 1.2 btc ($22,000) at another casino and then losing 98% of it within a couple days after. I was sick to my stomach and severely depressed for months after. I still don't know how I managed to give it all back.

I found it disappointing since I missed loads of giveaways and challenges tat I could have managed to get After that, due to challenges, especially tele challenges these days, I found it harder to leave here

pfodo Posted June 20, 2019 #15 Posted June 20, 2019 I never took a break since time when i began in december 2018 I will take my first break when i recover all my losses. Heh, at least i still hope i will recover it one time.
davinmark Posted June 20, 2019 #16 Posted June 20, 2019 For me i took a week for take a breaks, i take a break because i dont have any balance any more in any sites so i think i need to cooling down my brain. honestly i kinda miss stake, so i depo again and play till now
