teaming up in sport betting

We all know that the launch of sport betting is around the corner. And I am really excited to jump into the action as soon as they launch. If the sport betting offer is comparable with the offer where I play at this moment than I transfer all my betting balance over to stake.

I have been doing sport betting for many years. I just love it. But sport betting is not really a social thing to do. Mostly you are behind your screen, checking the odds, bet in play, track records of teams or players before placing a bet.

To become more social in sport betting I run a couple betting syndicates but only on fiat rooms.

But I think it would be great if stake allowed betting syndicates. For those who do not know betting syndicates... its very easy. A betting syndicate is just a group of 2 or more persons that pool some money in 1 pot and discuss about sports and place a shared bet. Mostly every team member can pick 1 game or in other syndicates syndicate members publicly discuss what games they are going to bet on.

I think it would a fun thing to do. Multiple stake members teaming together and mix their knowledge about sports. <me for example I am more specialised in European soccer and darts. But I know nothing about basketball, tennis, cricket, etc. When teaming up you can place bets with a wider variance of different sports cause everyone has other knowledge. 

The only thing that there need to be is trust between syndicate members, cause mostly there is 1 person handling the incoming and outgoing funds of all members. The organizer take all contributions of syndicate members, places the bet, collect winnings and distribute winnings equally to syndicate members. But I think this is something that can be worked out by stake, for example by a proven support member or moderator handling the funds. 

 

But I would already be very happy if stake allows to form betting syndicates. Im sure there would be a lot of people interested to team up and place bets.

 

Have you ever played in some sort of syndicate? Would you be interested in joining such group if you know everything is handled properly by a decent syndicate admin?

It is an interesting concept but stake has to implement a feature on how to fairly distribute the profits of the win to the players involved.

In regular betting syndicates its done manually by the syndicate admin. but I think there should be something to make it automatic. But doing it manually goes perfectly as well. I run at this moment 2 syndicates as admin. I have 1 for sports betting and 1 to play on some national and European lotteries. 

I collect funds, validate the tickets and distribute winnings equally amongst all members.

I played in the same team for half a year and made bets. So I don't understand much about sports, I entrusted my team and everything was fine if at one moment he collected money and ran away. Thank God I did not bet then. But in the end I was in a good plus. In general, the idea is working if there are decent and honest people in it.

yeah that why I would suggest incoming funds and prize distribution is done by for example a mod or support member. if someone regular doing it then yeah its a matter of trust. I know from a syndicate once that an organizer tried to take off with the jackpot of 15 million €. But that's the difference with big lottery syndicates. They mostly work with some sort of contracts. But of course thats something that cannot be done on a crypto site like stake

I like this idea! It is an exciting process because nobody knows what to expect at all with the sportsbetting coming soon. It will be a surprise for all of us, and hopefully we will all love it

Yeps, I like it as well. I am doing a sport betting syndicate for a couple of years now with a group of 20 people. Every week we each add 10$ to the pot and we bet 4 acumulator bets of 50$ each. We mostly take 1 'safe' bet that can get us break even and then we pick 3 other accumulators that can bring about 500 to 2000$ profits. 

In this way we sometimes make some nice hits. But the most fun part beside winning a shared bet is just the process of placing the bets. We have a small chat group where we discuss upcoming games and discuss what games we will place a bet on

Reading barbaris situation this would be a good idea for an extra feature but not as soon as they release the game because they have to deal with bugs and all. They have to come with a top notch security system for this feature.

hello barbaris it seems good idea but how often u believe when directly involvement financial issue.if some team believe each other and   played  as a good human being  then its brilliant suggestion.

This really does seem like something that would be kinda fun .

Also its a great way to bring in players to Sports betting who normally wouldn't be interested.

There's a great social element to such an organization but I'd rather stick to picking and sizing my own bets, I know some degen groups etc myself. I feel many sports need a lot of in depth knowledge which I don't have the interest to go super deep in. Other than betting MVG x100000 in darts I'm not too adventurous outside of what I personally know.

I have never tried joining a sports betting syndicates, but for esport we have a group on social media to discuss a match and place the same bet the results we get are also quite large.

I think this way of doing it! It is always funner when you bet with a group of people. But let's wait and see what they have to offer. They will probably be open to suggestions, so this can be suggested if it is not implemented from the start

That could work, but you should trust those members. What if they would want to mislead you so they can win  If you don't know anything about the specific sport you should be careful when betting and have limited trsut. Just saying.
