Carollzinha Posted May 29, 2019 #1 Posted May 29, 2019 Although no official announcement was made, on May 22, CoinMarketCap has become the sponsor of Israel football side Beitar Jerusalem Football Club. CEO of CoinMarketCap, Luke Wagman, took to twitter Quote Thrilled to be featured on the Beitar Jerusalem Football Club’s uniforms yesterday in their match vs Atlético Madrid. They won 2-1! It is exciting to see crypto getting more mainstream attention. The CoinMarketCap sponsorship becomes the latest in the sporting arena, with cryptocurrency and blockchain projects still making inroads into sports. Earlier this year Popular English Premier League side and Champions League Finalists, Liverpool, sent out invites to several cryptocurrency projects related to the next seasons sponsorship deals. There is a good possibility that 2020 will see more blockchain projects making their way into sports sponsorship, something that Sirin Labs took to heart in 2018 when they made football star Lionel Messi a brand ambassador for Sirin Labs. Although the footballers didn't show to be so familiar with Cryptos, in an interview to BlockTVnews channel, I believe it is still a good way to promote not only CoinMarketCap but all the Cryptos as Football is the most played game all around the world.
barbaris Posted May 29, 2019 #2 Posted May 29, 2019 That's cool. Cryptocurrency is slowly beginning to take on global significance, which is great. I like their t-shirts. Maybe we will see Stake T-shirts soon.
Kate Posted May 30, 2019 #3 Posted May 30, 2019 This is just a start and soon binance will probably join in with other exchanges and spread crypto popularity hence allowing more people to adopt it.
rdbase Posted June 3, 2019 #4 Posted June 3, 2019 Havent heard of this soccer club before and not seen them play because I have not seen a Jerusalem match in progress. Hoping for more crypto focused companies to be sponsered by some bigger well known clubs such as in the german and english premier leagues. ;D
rajamishra Posted June 3, 2019 #5 Posted June 3, 2019 its a good sign to enter crypto into global market, its just a start, so may be a unknow team will be some time disaster in soccer worldcup.hope this time its a experimental basis to know the crypto become a established as digital currency in next gen .one more thing some country banned crypto they also think again for its accradtion .
artizykristy Posted June 3, 2019 #6 Posted June 3, 2019 but all this time I have seen sponsors for the soccer team just excanger, not for crypto gambling sites: / different from real money gambling that almost all football teams must be sponsored. but this is also a good step so that the world recognizes crypto and in the future I hope there are crypto gambling sites that try to sponsor soccer teams
williamshennie9 Posted June 4, 2019 #7 Posted June 4, 2019 Wow this this awesome! It is the second crypto company to sponsor a team that I have heard of. Seems to be coming the new norm now. It is super good for the industry because it means they have spare money to offer these teams.
