wry Posted May 30, 2019 #1 Posted May 30, 2019 Everyone has heard of CryptoKitties, right? Well from the minds that brought you "adorable" tradable kitties comes, wait for it, Cheese Wizards, a new decentralized app (dapp) on the Ethereum blockchain. Cheese Wizards is a dapp where players buy wizards who will engage in a massive fight later this summer to win "all the cheese." I'd laugh, but just like CryptoKitties, which I also thought was nuts, so far 973 players, have forked over 1,013 ETH, to buy 4,470 wizards to fight in the upcoming battle. Apparently, many more wizards are available for purchase. At least there is a point, the "All the Cheese" prize is over 600 ETH. Does anyone still have a CryptoKitty laying around? Has anyone bought a Cheese Wizard? The underlying game sounds like it might actually make for a cool PVP game on Stake. barbaris Posted May 30, 2019 #2 Posted May 30, 2019 My hand did not rise to buy cats at such prices, and I thought it was complete nonsense. But over time, I realized that I was late again. Maybe buy a wizard. Really worth it?
Tamaco Posted May 30, 2019 #3 Posted May 30, 2019 This will make the transaction time of eth crazy again. I remembered when cryptokitties was a hype back then
williamshennie9 Posted May 31, 2019 #4 Posted May 31, 2019 It sounds like a less serious version of Doge lol. I vaguely recall reading up about crypto kitties, which I thought was a total joke, but I didn't pay too much attention to it. Cheese wizards sounds just as much of a joke in my opinion
Shaniqua Posted May 31, 2019 #5 Posted May 31, 2019 I dont know man this whole thing just looks and feels and dare i say smells too weird even for a shaniqua up in here wizzardzz?? Fight for 🧀 ?? Wtf
Etude Posted May 31, 2019 #6 Posted May 31, 2019 How interesting! I think I am gonna check this out this interesting niche game which uses the Ethereum blockchain.
ceastem Posted May 31, 2019 #7 Posted May 31, 2019 I have heard about this before. Sadly I view this as a battle among the rich ahha. Although it is true I can invest some for myself but it will be kinda wasted since the rich ones are too strong (common Pay2play scenarios). So in games like these, I tend to avoid it unless I can play for free

However, as your wizards wins, it gets some of the defeated wizards power, so maybe a lowbie could level up somehow. I agree no interest for me, but at least the aspect of the prize for fighting gives some incentive, as compared to crypto kitties, which is just look at the cats and maybe trade them.
Kate Posted June 1, 2019 #9 Posted June 1, 2019 The thing is PVP games is kind of mining on our mind and time because we need a lot of our time to make money from it and that is what i hate so not gonna get involved in this for now.
DreamStage Posted June 2, 2019 #10 Posted June 2, 2019 I have never played CryptoKitties yet but yes i have heard about it from some months ago. I also loved that it is a new decentralized app (dapp) on the Ethereum blockchain as more games will show up and incentivate even more foreign companies to make such great DApp Games and all other kind of softwares. I will surely try it out as soon as i get some free time and let you know my feedback about the game, the app as a plataform and how much i feel with it.

I have checked it out again and made my account. I wonder why I cannot buy any wizards? It says summoning starts again at the start of tournament but it's a bit unfair since there are already a lot of wizards currently getting stronger and stronger. If i start in the day of the tournament itself, I'll surely be doomed to fail
