nattekut Posted June 2, 2019 #1 Posted June 2, 2019 Hey guys, those who are a little familiar with poker know that previous week the annual WSOP series in Las Vegas have begun. We also know that the USD10,000 is the largest and most prestigious event of all. Well let me tell you, exactly 45 minutes ago I won my seat for this event worth USD12,600 which contains 1 event entry, hotel + little amount for expenses. 1st of July I will be travelling to Vegas and I will take a shot in the main event the 3rd of July. All players that play the event mostly wear the logo of the site where they won the package but I won mine in a private group on PokerStars. So I am not bounded to pokerstars rules and do not have to wear there logo or merchandising. Would you guys be excited if I go play the main event wearing stake merchandising? I am really thrilled for this event and it will be my 3rd time I will compete in the main event. Until now I have 1 bust a couple 100 before the money was reached and 3 years ago I made a pretty deep run and turned my 10k buy-in into a 73,000$ cash. So if I keep improving I can go deeper in next one..... hopefully. So guys would you be thrilled as much as me if I play with stake merchandise and that I attach a very nice giveaway to my vegas trip?

I myself love poker a looot compared to all other casino card games. I wish you the very best, and wearing Stakes logo (merch) I think would be lovely, for the owners and this community as we'll be here as it grows! I think that'll be cool, but you should contact Stake first right? I'm sure they will be glad though. Again wish you the very best. Cool to know we have a pro poker player in the house haha 😛 Cheers

I am talking myself with several businesses, platforms myself. Cause most players playing the main event do have 2-3 different sponsors on their clothes to promote those businesses. couple years ago I had 3 sponsors each sponsoring 2,500$ to play with their logo. So it was nice for me cause I already made some money even before the event started. Don't think stake is up for something like that. I have been chatting with Eddy about a sponsorship deal for the biggest online event of the year but there was no interest. However if they would be up for it I would organise a bunch of giveaways build around the event. But like I said thats up to stake. If they do not feel like getting involved then I will close multiple other sponsorship deals. Its not that hard to get gambling related sponsors if the WSOP main event is involved.
Kate Posted June 3, 2019 #11 Posted June 3, 2019 The thing is i think why eddie won't be interested is because offline players won't be influenced by the online sites at all in my head and they'd pay someone from their own team to go and play tbh.
