ceastem Posted June 5, 2019 #1 Posted June 5, 2019 As we all know, there is a 2000$ race going on right now an hour have already passed, yet the top wagered amount has yet to reach a full bitcoin. Why? That's because just like in track and field, you gotta know when to sprint! If you sprint too early, you'll get tired early and others will catch up to you! So the timing should be perfect. Just like in these races, what they are doing are waiting for the last few hours (maybe minutes) before going all out and increasing the top wagered amounts. So have you been betting all this time since race started? or are you doing just that? . . P.S. there's a mistake too on top left part of my printscreen ,it should be 2000 dollars prize pool.
barbaris Posted June 5, 2019 #2 Posted June 5, 2019 I tried to participate in races, but reached only 63 places. I just lack the balance to keep up with the Highrollers. Too many want to be on this list.
williamshennie9 Posted June 5, 2019 #3 Posted June 5, 2019 I wagered 40k satoshis just to see what would happen, and then I came place number 400, which I didn't think was too bad lol. If they gave prizes to the top 500 users, I would have won
Kate Posted June 5, 2019 #4 Posted June 5, 2019 I dont generally take part in challenges which lasts for like maybe 3 or 2 hours because it doesnt give me sufficient time and i need a good amount of time for it to be perfect done.

Paecga129 Posted June 5, 2019 #6 Posted June 5, 2019 I haven’t been betting at all but I do see what your point is for sure! Some people to slow and steady and some people like to all in right at the end.
nuuuitsjdragon Posted June 5, 2019 #7 Posted June 5, 2019 Races are a relatively good way to earn some extra(s) if you’re staking high bets anyway. Lack of commitment probably won’t get you the top prizes but that doesn’t mean you’ll go home empty handed. Long races like these should give you the upper hand if you’re focused and have a plan. The half-hour rushes can drain your bankroll if you’re not careful and especially so if you’re on a bad streak! P.S. Having a huge bankroll is really advantageous here... for non-HR players it’s almost impossible. 😔
FotisNt Posted June 6, 2019 #8 Posted June 6, 2019 i was trying it with a start with 100k sat, didnt even reach top 50. my wager in total was like 0.08 and i was on 800~
Etude Posted June 6, 2019 #9 Posted June 6, 2019 It is very fun that there are currently these races going on everyday! But it is only possible to get a prized position with a decent sized bankroll!

I guess you could wager on dice 1.005x but even then, you will lose some of the bets some of the time. So it is a toss up between how much you lose and how much you can earn in the prize pool.
bmg Posted June 6, 2019 #11 Posted June 6, 2019 I really like your analogy of the track and field as the race. You are right on with that and it's the way you time your bets to sprint to the finish line and be able to place in a winning position.

I could see with your wagered amount that you might not even participate in weekly challenges. Lol or you have other account for betting? 3 hours ago, williamshennie9 said: That is super impressive actually. I actually did a flat 1.00x which means i had no profit for every win but i was saved loads of times because of that instead of going for 98% :)
rajamishra Posted June 6, 2019 #13 Posted June 6, 2019 its so hard now a days to race with high rollers but still if u have some strategy the may be get into race ,so far i tried last two days but failed in last moments.
sheenazbay Posted June 6, 2019 #14 Posted June 6, 2019 too many want to be in the top 10 list. the toughest rivals are high roolers who have a lot of balance. it's hard for me to win.

Did they change it, or did you play using the dicebot? When I tried entering the 1.00x, it would not let me bet, and siad minimum is 1.005x
rdbase Posted June 6, 2019 #16 Posted June 6, 2019 Does all places receive a bit of the total prize of $1000 given each day? Even if you reach 100th place you will get something?🤨
nattekut Posted June 6, 2019 #17 Posted June 6, 2019 I do never enter those races. I do not feel like putting much money at risk just to wager as much as possible. I don't feel like wagering a couple BTC just to get into top 5 or so and receive 50$. I mostly join races on my regular poker platform but the prize pool mostly is significant higher like for example 500,000$ in leaderboard challenges or races

Haha The tip is you should know where to type to have that 1.00x
FotisNt Posted June 7, 2019 #19 Posted June 7, 2019 Well, I didn't participate in the race, although I got a 20th place due to my bets. I guess if I had a good bankroll to try for these races, I would start from the begging of the race, betting manually on a multiplier of 1.50-2x.
polor12 Posted June 9, 2019 #20 Posted June 9, 2019 for seeing the race closely..is it kinda funny they are doing this kinda race like some told me earlier everyday.. a competition against one another.. by wagering the most..wager=spending.. don't want to make you guys lose hope.. but if a person can reach 1.0 btc in less then few minutes,.. only means.. he betting and simple get 1.1x on dice or whatever he's playing where wagering .1 constantly because he has funds to lose that much but can easily get up to the top rank quicker and gain what he lost from the wining..if stake really want this to be a competitive challenge let everyone start out with the same amount where they cannot reload for whats given... everyone starts with 100k,., if they lose it then there are out.. who ever reaches the wager amount with the 100k they started with gets it.,, sounds fair... is just ridiculous to have a competition where the playing field isn't even... to be honest.. 100k and that wager requirement to win the prize.. will actually shows who is playing smarter and who trying risk it all for 1 big hit...
ivaylo2000 Posted June 9, 2019 #21 Posted June 9, 2019 I catch this races eveytime when it was in final lap 15-20 mins remaining. And wager that i make placed me in the end of top 500. I would to try full race , but this must be happend when i have more free time for playing
Etude Posted June 10, 2019 #22 Posted June 10, 2019 Its actually rather difficult to maintain a position into the top 10 spots but when it is divided between top 30 and top 100 prizes it is actually quite worth it to wager for the races.
sdsdfbsfsd Posted June 10, 2019 #23 Posted June 10, 2019 i personally avoid races as im likely to bust massive amounts and get lesser rewarded for doing so,but if i was to participate iwould do dice 1.01x with big amount on auto from stuff
