nattekut Posted June 11, 2019 #1 Posted June 11, 2019 As many and probably everyone on stake I love crypto very much.... but as I stated in the title I do not give a shit about it. I never read news or crypto related articles. I never research projects or blockchain related start ups. For me crypto is just one giant cow that is providing me milk 24/7. Since 4 years I am a full time crypto trader and I build a nice long term holding portfolio... for future. This portfolio I build up in my first 2 years of professional trading and was lucky to get in before the 2017 bullrun. But now the last 2 years I am just trading crypto to make as much 'hard cash' as possible. I switched to use USD, USDT or USDC as my base currency and just try to make as much profits based on fiat value. Every week I keep 10% of the profits I made in crypto to expand my long term holdings or to buy new coins but 90% I convert to € or $ and use them to invest in other things than crypto. By doing this the past 2 years I was able to provide my family (wife and 2 kids) a good life, pay my monthly and daily expenses and invest in real estate. As much as I love crypto I rather prefer to have some sort of safe haven for future and to secures my kids future. So that's why in the past 2 years I used gros of my crypto profits to by myself a house and to buy 3 more apartments that I use for Holliday rental. This gives me a lot of security for when I retire and to kickstart my kids life when they leave the nest. Do you think in the same way like me or are you a diehard crypto believer and want to stack up your crypto holdings as much as possible?
gougou Posted June 11, 2019 #2 Posted June 11, 2019 From my total earnings i invested about 50% on small appartments for renting.30% on fiat money to be ok for my family life 18% on crypto by buying every month few cryptos and 2% fir gambling ajd only in stake.com
CntryBoy Posted June 11, 2019 #3 Posted June 11, 2019 I haven't done much research at all on most of it either. It's so hard to do these days because there are soooo many new coins popping up every day. I stick with a few of the big ones and very rarely dip my toes into the gazillions of new coins coming these days.
williamshennie9 Posted June 11, 2019 #4 Posted June 11, 2019 The only reason I care about it it, is because I own crypto. Anyone who owns crypto would hope for a high price so that their investment is valued higher. Alternatively, you would care about the price if you gamble in crypto and have to buy it. Then you would want a lower price. I'm sure everyone on Stake cares a little (at least) for crypto.
barbaris Posted June 11, 2019 #5 Posted June 11, 2019 I immediately convert all my cryptocurrency into cash and use them daily for everyday life. I do not like to store crypto in anticipation of rising prices for them. I just spend it.
Kate Posted June 12, 2019 #6 Posted June 12, 2019 I dont believe too much in crypto because believing too much is like nahhh i am a person who believe stacking is good but overstacking of the coins is bad and can cause damage.
rajamishra Posted June 12, 2019 #7 Posted June 12, 2019 hello @nettkut its good example of how you create a good earning resources using in cryptocurrency.but your so wisely used it as a prime platform to generate money.we are enter so lately to this world and now accumulate how i then trying to enter in to trading platform.i like your idea and planning.tkx for your information.
Etude Posted June 12, 2019 #8 Posted June 12, 2019 Oh for me I am definitely not a die hard crypto believer but I just been using it for such a long time especially Bitcoin. I usually just go with the flow of the prices and do not keep tracking the prices obssesively at all.
wry Posted June 12, 2019 #9 Posted June 12, 2019 I'm glad cryptocurrencies have been a path to prosperity for you and your family. I come at it from the opposite direction. I like cryptocurrencies a lot. I like the idea of private money and censorship proof financial networks. I also think the idea of a deflationary currency is a really interesting one. Without things like that I would never have gotten interested in crypto. I do follow the news and try and understand what the differences are between coins. This makes it a fun hobby. I've often thought of alt coin trading as gambling with a zero house edge, so I hope things keep working out for you! Good Luck!
bmg Posted June 13, 2019 #10 Posted June 13, 2019 First off let me commend you on doing such great things for your wife and kids. They should be very proud of you . I have just recently started to gain a little insight into what crypto currency is ll about so I don't know enough to say that I love it . However I have gained more interest in learning about Bitcoin and have learned a lot by reading the news and informative Topics that @wry and a few others have written.
rdbase Posted June 13, 2019 #11 Posted June 13, 2019 This is an interesting story about someone who uses crypto as a means to an end but doesnt care about it initially. So it essentially a love=hate relationship you have towards our virtual currency.😁
polor12 Posted June 13, 2019 #12 Posted June 13, 2019 i do trades with crypto before i came to stake. besides trading i spent a lot of money for mining equipment.. before stake i mined enough to get the cost for the equipment electricbill and to trade in a couple different platforms.. so yea until i came to stake i did less mining and more gambling.. more focused on it.. i didnt even bother to update my stuff...and that put me in a hole for a min.but i gradually won a few and went into mining with a couple people., i just needed to buy my stuff and we split the coins.. so many miners out there barely made enough for the month.. some might use coins as the source of income... but can't really depend on it,,

I know I do not have to invest more than I can afford to loose but my personal situation allows me to invest big. and that's what I did back in 2015-2016. Now after the 2017 bullrun I do not invest much but I earn more crypto mainly by trading. I still hodl pretty nice bags on long term in a bout 25 different coins for a lot of money but that's money I am willing to gamble and to be honost BTC dropped back from 20k to 3500 did not harm me even not the slightest. I sold for huge profits on top of the bull run and bought back in below 5000. but as I said I do not give a shit about crypto and blockchain technology. the only reason I am in crypto is just because it is easy money to earn. Even today I made a trade that brought me over 7,000$ profits in a single trade. that's money that I even cannot make in 1 week with one of my real life businesses
